Damn... there goes my idea for a telemarketing ARG, where the interaction relies on how many cabana beach chairs you buy at the low, low cost of only $39.95. If you are still interested, call me .

Can that law apply to out-of-country telemarketers? Or can we still get audiospammed by jamesi and mart?

Hey, be careful. You can't just throw the word Spam around any more, apparently .

I do not believe you can put that spam back in the can.
I know the manufacturer wants their name back (why?!), but the usage is far too common now. Like kleenex, I think it's in the public domain now.

IIRC, they want to reserve the use ot the name when capitalized and have no issue with spam as long as it is lower case. The distinction? I have no idea.
Regarding the no call list. I'm assuming the logistics are such that telemarketers will be able to acquire the entire list to scrub their own call lists. Sounds to me like a great list for foreign firms to target. Or domestic firms with foreign offices out of reach of our Federal Government.

I feel a "What's your favorite thing to do to telemarketers?" thread coming on.

Believe it or not, telemarketing agencies will be *required* to *purchase* access to this database list.
