Quote:
I had a little excitement here at the Library today as Phyllis Willingham brought that "psychic investigator" here to the Library for a brief while. Phyllis claimed it was because the woman, Iris Page was her name, asked to come by here but I'm not so sure it wasn't just because Phyllis wanted to make sure she was seen with her. I know she's enjoying all this publicity lately, at least about the strange events. The Marzano Investigation I'm sure is a different matter.

Iris Page seemed like a nice lady though, and she was very interested in the Library building. She seemed to know without even asking where the "incidents" happened here in the Library and spent some time looking around those spots. She also asked me a few questions about that old trunk; where it was found, what's in that area now, etc. Finally, she claimed that she got very unusual feelings from the area of the Library that houses the old books and documents from the Wali Fard collection. In fact, she seemed hesitant to even go near that area. Overall, it was a fascinating little visit and certainly broke up the monotony of the day. It's a shame I had to put up with Phyllis at the same time.

Actually, I shouldn't be so hard on her all the time, I guess. She seemed
somehow different today, as if she was actually trying to reach out in her own limited way. It can't be easy to be living out in that big old house virtually all alone, as her husband has been spending most of his time at the Municipal Building. Someday I've got to learn how to get past carrying grudges for old problems.

Oh, I have to go. I have a few things to wrap up here before I leave at six.

Sincerely,
Agatha Dobbs
