OK, here's some details on what the comments mean. We have 3 pages, each with a single comment:
will.php
Quote:
char *i = "-102050110";
This is C syntax for declaring a string with value "-102050110"
idea.php
Quote:
@p = ("for(l=",";l<1",";l+=",")}printf(\"%3d\",1","+(1","/atoi(strncpy(c,i,","))));i+=",";}");
This is a Perl statement that creates a list of strings, separated by commas. The content of the strings looks like C code, however.
Finally, energy.php
Quote:
for($i=0;$i<8;++$i){$d=$i/8;print $p[$i];if(10%($i+1)==0){print atan2 0,$d;}if($i>0&&($i-1)%3!=0){print (((sin$d+$d)/sin$d)/cos$d);}}
which is more Perl code. Better formatted:
Code:
for($i=0;$i<8;++$i){
$d=$i/8;
print $p[$i];
if(10%($i+1)==0){
print atan2 0,$d;
}
if($i>0&&($i-1)%3!=0){
print (((sin$d+$d)/sin$d)/cos$d);
}
}
Essentially this code assembles the strings in the list p. Running this gives us more C code (formatted here):
Code:
for(l=0;l<10;l+=2)} (this should be { )
printf("%3d",12+(10/atoi(strncpy(c,i,2))));
i+=2;
}
Combining the C code with the earlier statement, adding some other C stuff that it needs, the result is:
replacing the space with "."

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
FYI: the titles are all ROT-22 for the name of the page.
Eg. ampp = will, mhie = idea, irivkc = energy.
Changing those numbers above into letters:
2 17 14 22 13
B Q N V M
ROT-1 gives Crown.
I'm not sure how that can be used though. Crown.htm,html,php don't give anything new.
Where did the idea for putting in dots come in?

Ahh, good one!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
crown is a keyword back on door_to.php:
the ability to see how the world can be other than it is
The landscape was grey, and bleak. Yet at the same time it shone, like the color you see when you glance at the sun. There was no detail, simply a flat, blank expanse stretching into the distance. But in that distance...
She straightened her accoutrements and faced her goal squarely. Then it was time for the single step...
Edit: oh, and check out the URL it takes you to:

Just out of curiosity..can the numbers we found on alcove (+057834954193.+791538756018902.+7518963211478) be put through this script with any results. I'd do it myself, but as I am completely inept at this kinda thing, I don't know how.

Well here's basically what the C program does:
It takes the characters from "-102050110" two at a time: -1,02,05,01,10.
Then it divides 10 by that number and adds 12, so we get:
2,17,14,22,13.
The numbers from the archives page don't seem to work very well, though I don't know what else to do with them.

OK, there was an update last night on the crown page.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
New comment: jmaczmbwbzgioiqv
ROT-18s to besuretotryagain
What does that mean? Try keywords we tried yesterday?

Okay..you know how the keyword crown takes us to http://www.simonsumeria.info/idea.php?keyword=crown ?
Well, now you can change the page name and get something new.

I don't think it really means anything, but:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
3 09 02 05 18 38 31
subtracting 26 from the last two to make them letters could spell out:
CIBERHE(rot-0)
yExanda (rot-22)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ta278 would be ≠ (or !=, if we're talking computer code), me thinks.
There's a metric ton of things Ta693 could be, from ≤ to == to ≈. More info is needed to distinguish it from =.

We think too hard at times. Thanks sapagoo.

Compare that to the latest update page:
latest update &imeanitthistime 3 09 02 05 18 35 36
I'm willing to bet this is the update page for the simonesumeria site.

The 3 09 02 05 18 38 31 comes from that new simonsumeria page I found today: http://www.simonsumeria.info/energy.php?keyword=crown (which right now reads 4 10 02 05 12 18 42 - which under my theory means the simonsumeria site updated about 5 minutes ago.)
The latest update &imeanitthistime 3 09 02 05 18 35 36 comes from http://daemon.chaoseed.com/door_to.php . Input update for a keyword and it takes you to a page that tells you when the site was last updated (you can see a list of updates on the wiki ). I check the update page once a day, but it didn't even register with me until sapagoo said "it's that whacky way of writing the date in other countries" in #unfiction.
Hope that answers your question.

You can check it out on the wiki:
http://deaddrop.us/wiki/index.php/Update
Every time something was updated, the page from keyword "update" would update, which saved a lot of time checking.
3 09 02 05 18 38 31
is 2/9/05, at 18:38:31 (it's PST). So we know nothing has been updated today.
