[META] Out of game site mention I just found this site by googleing for perplexcity:
http://www.pleasurecards.com/index.php?f=brand.htm
At first sight it looks genuine, but it strikes me as if it could be ingame.
Maybe I have been waiting too long now and Im just seening ghosts.

The only suspicious thing is the uhh... outright mention of www.perplexcity.com in Michael Smith's little profile thingy. I've been browsing through the various cards for a bit now and most of them seem terribly boring in addition to bright and futuristic. Still looking though... *browse*

As its a guy whos putting up the cash for this by the looks of it, and we know firebox is already linked due to the previous catalogue entries.

Ingame? Probably not.
Interesting? Very. It appears we accidentally peeked behind the curtain a bit. If it helps, some people have done a little more peeking and found pretty much every in-game site already (given, they're not active yet.) using a whois look-up. Good find, nevertheless.

Welp, that confirms one name I always wondered. Small email discussion over one of my dreams which I put down in the application email.
The main question is still WHEN IS THE DARNED GAME GOING TO GET GOING< ALREADY????????????????????????

Not sure whether this makes it ingame or whether this is interesting or not but if you browse around the site one of the card designs is called code word and includes the line of text:
the seagull flies north over krakow tonight
http://www.pleasurecards.com/index.php?c=4
this got me thinking that it would be an excellent place to include something ppc related and lo!
http://www.pleasurecards.com/index.php?p=C175
called "Mind Games" and a rather attractive blue colour, has a link to ppc:
what do you think?
Currently checking out the rest of the designs

bit more info
Each of the members of the brand council seems to have a set of classic designs to themselves and have named the colours accordingly (Vicky Coren the Journalist wrote a rather funny book about creating a porn movie called "once more with feeling" and has a design called "Blue Movie" with the tagline once more with feeling), Michael Smith, after mentioning ppc in his biog would therefore have the second colour set which does indeed contain mind games.
Their site reminds me strongly of the Meta thread on marketing that was had a while ago. It seems that people get invited to have an account by card holders and then get given a PEP number and can order cards to hand out (gmail all over again...suddenly they've increased my invite quota to 50...I don't know that many people!). People can view their account by accessing that number. These numbers looking at the examples seem to be six digits long, broken in two and contain letters and numbers. excellent place for next link in chain!

What a fabulous concept
Although I see no evidence that Michael designed any - only 5 or so designers are listed so far, and he's not one of them.
*sigh* It's GMail envy all over again

you're right,
the brand council seem to have input into certain names of the basic colours like Vicky and Michael, but not in order as I said above and not of entire sets.
thought that PCPS on the postcard might be something to do with the PEP number and have tried a number of combinations together with 2210, but no luck.
As six digits are required the number under the semacode on the postcard splits into six equally...will have a go

This is the daughter of Alan Coren of Call My Bluff fame, a little decorum please! The book's got pictures in the middle...but she and Charlie Skelton (co-author) remain fully clothed throughout.

The Micro Movies are interesting.
The first two say www.pleasurecards.com at the end, but the last one doesn't. Says RX3-894 and then a WWW shows above it.
I can't see if it has meaning though, tried to enter it as a PEP # - no luck.

I created an account by using one of the example PEP numbers....and ordered some cards and went right through almost to the end of checkout (just checking it out)....they do require a valid CC#. So the site is def. legit imo.
I also think, due to the outright mention of PPC, that we won't find anything here. But interesting nonetheless!
