Email from Iris Page of Edge of Site group

Dear Ms. Du Pree,

I too am quite concerned with Mrs. Willingham's situation. Normally we would not be able to visit a site for at least six months due to a backlog of
requests, but after speaking with Mrs. Willingham, my colleagues and I decided to rearrange our schedules and head out to New Jersey as soon as we could get everything together. We should be meeting in Aglaura sometime tomorrow, if everything goes as planned.

Do you have any further information to give me at this time? I have
researched the groups you mentioned and can find no credible source of
information about them.

Dear Ms. Page
>
My name is Sunny Du Pree and I am a friend of Phyllis Willingham. She is a very dear lady and is at the end of her rope with the strange goings on in her house. I hope that you can help ease her life a bit. I can state for a fact that she is not crazy and of course neither am I. LOL. I think I may have some background information for you that you might need to know. Yes many strange things are happening in Aglaura to many people and places. Some of it is centered around the sighting of strange pale men with eyes so black they appear to be dead. We call them the dead eye guys. They are attracted to people that have faith that they exist and of course you have to believe in them to see them. They are also attracted to a disc that was unearthed that has "supernatural powers". The last owner hid it and took his own life so that it would not be found. It was though, thanks to a dream that Phyllis had that we found it. There are some other items that we think havegreat power that are being searched for as we speak. A wand and a mask. Wehave been made aware of all of these items by supernatural occurances mainly through dreams. There is another group that has contacted us that are in search of these items and they call themselves the guides. They have
communicated with us through cryptic emails. One thing is for sure.. they do no want us to have control of these items. They believe that there is great secretes and power associtated with the wand, disk and mask.
We know that there is a group that is called The Nine purported to have
supernatural powers. They are connected with graffiti that has proliferated in Aglaura. We do not know if The Nine ( The Numbered Ones) are part of the Dead eyes or the guides or their own seperate group. They all appear to be beyond our world.
There is much more to this story and I venture to say that there is enough work to keep your crew busy for quite awhile in Aglaura.
If you wish to know more feel free to email me at any time. My personal home phone is xxxxxxxxxx I care for Phyllis as if she were a part of my family so I hope and pray you can help her.

EMAIL: From Iris

Dear Ursula,

I am always glad to discuss my obsession with other people, so I will try to
help you along as best I can with my current time limitations. Perhaps once
the Aglaura investigation is over I can be more detailed in my answers to your
questions.

Thank you for your compliments on the web design. One of my colleagues is a
designer in his 'real' life and so he does our site for free when he is able
to. These days, I fear, it is harder and harder to add content, since we are
always on the move.

You asked about the antenna on the webpage. To be honest, it is an antenna
and it represents the fact that we all are, in one sense or another, receivers
of the energies around us. Have you ever had a sense that you needed to do
something and then learned later that if you had not, it would have been bad?
That is a very general kind of energy or vibrational pick-up that we all get
now and then; some of us are just more sensitive or 'in-tune' than others.

The iris, as you identified it, is an homage to me. Since my name is Iris,
Chris thought it would be funny to use that as one of the symbols on the site
and since we get so many comments about it, I really cannot ask him to take it
down. He says that when we are in a heavy energy area I look like that at
times, though I frankly think he may need to have a few days off, you know?

As far as the stories go, some we have confirmed, others not. The ones that
are currently up on the site have all been submitted by our visitors and many
of them are on our list of 'to be looked into' sites and phenomena.

Thank you for your offer to help us in our investigations. Unfortunately, due
to the types of cases we generally take on for a multi-team investigation, we
are not able to take uncertified and inexperienced people. The danger is
often very real and we have all committed to facing it, but we are very
careful not to endanger anyone needlessly. If you are still interested in
pursuing this avenue of adventure as I call it, please contact your local
paranormal research society and they can help you get started in your training.

New Email from Iris Page

Dear Sunny,

I just happened to check my email this morning before heading out to meet my colleagues and thought it worth taking a moment to respond to you. First of all, please do not fear that I will misuse or abuse any information
or confidences you share with me. As you can imagine, in this line of
exploration, personal ties and the maintenance of trust and honesty are always critical. How else can one battle the seeming ocean of darkness unless one is light in both heart and deed? Never fear about my manners; my mother raised me to be a proper woman and, despite my hobbies, I even know what all the silverware is for when at a formal dinner. (I know you are impressed, right?)

I have printed out your email and pictures and intend to share them with my colleagues as we drive to Aglaura. If nothing else, it will get our
speculative juices flowing and give us someplace to start our investigation.

I spoke with Mrs. Willingham about some of the other odd happenings in the town and she had mentioned some strange graffiti that I guess Mr. Keeler had speculated to be some sort of magical symbol. I am not sure if that is what we are looking at here, but it is worth a look see.

I am very interested in some of the other happenings in town, such as the
library books dancing about. I have a hunch that with enough poking around, we can tie all of these incidents together in a nice neat package; though I cannot guarantee that anyone will like the answers we come up with.
The disc looks interesting, as does the manuscript. I cannot place where I have seen those symbols, but I am hopeful that one of our investigatory books will contain an image of the other time I have seen them. It may sound strange, but more often than not, we run into similarities between cases where you would expect none to exist.

Ah, you know Wes Keeler? Is he not a lovely man? It has been years since I have spoken to him. I believe the last time was a few years ago when we were doing a crypto zoological investigation out in Montana. You would not believe how fast that man will jump on a plane as soon as you tell him you may have found a cousin to the Jersey Devil!

Take care Sunny. I am not sure how soon I will be able to access my emails again. I am certain you will understand that once the investigation has begun, our time is usually taken with the investigation. Of course, judging by the emails I have been getting about this case, it may turn out that we will need to take breaks daily just to recharge and not be overcome by the phenomena. We shall see.

Dear Ursula,

Thank you for forwarding the information to me. Some of it, the Aglaura
information, we had already gathered. I am familiar with the other references
you have made, though I must admit that the connections you are drawing have
really sparked our interest. To be honest, this is just the sort of case that
we live for, and which unfortunately does not come around very often.

I am glad to hear that you will be contacting your local society. That is
where most of us get our start and the experiences you will gain are
invaluable. They can teach you the right and wrong way of doing things and
point out the pitfalls of certain activities, especially those things which
will lead you down a path toward a rather painful lesson. That, in and of
itself, is invaluable.

Well, it is time for me to try and finish up with my packing and hit the hay.
We have a long day and night tomorrow and I would hate to fall asleep just
when things get good.

Dear Ms. Hensley,

Thank your for sharing your concerns with me. I am already quite
enchanted
with Phyllis and will certainly try my hardest to rid her of the
metaphysical
demons she is currently encountering. As for the more mundane demons
in her
life, I am hardly the one to help her with them, though from what I
have seen
of her today, she will find her way on her own.

You know, I did not know what to expect Phyllis to look like, but I
suppose if
I had been asked to make a picture from my imagination, it would have
matched
her perfectly. I am sure you are quite aware of her crisp, cultured
manner of
speaking. She is the sort of person you can easily see sitting in a
grand
hall ringing a bell for the servants who all come rushing to do her
bidding.
I bet she would have fit right into a place like Tara in "Gone with the
Wind". She is the type of person I would never in a hundred years
think of
talking to, but I found her to be one of the most intelligent and
charming
creatures (I say this in a very admiring way) I have come across in a
long
time. Heck, I am thinking of asking her for elocution lessons, as I am
quite
certain that my skills look pathetic to one such as her. I also want
to know
where she gets her clothes. Granted, she has a model's body and I have
a
child's body, but I still think I could pull off a pantsuit if I wanted
to.

Her husband, well, I suppose I should not say what I felt about him,
though
there is definitely something strange about him. I am generally not one
to
gossip and, despite the fact that Mrs. Willingham has specifically
asked that
all findings be made public and nothing remains hidden, I do not think
that
extends to personal matters, though perhaps I have the wrong of that.
Let me
end this subject by saying that I definitely feel sorry for your
friend.

By the way, have you been to Aglaura? I have to tell you that it is a
very
creepy place. There is this strange aura around the town that you
could
almost see as you drive into it. It was like looking at one of those
odd
paintings they sell at the mall, you know, the Magic Eye kind? All
three of
us reported that we had this sensation that if we squinted and looked
out the
corners of our eyes at the right angle, we were sure we would see
something.

Then there was the odd man I saw when we headed to dinner at the
Aglaura
Diner. We were all walking there, talking about what had (or in this
case,
had not) happened at the Willingham place. (Though I think it would be
more
apt to call it a palace, that place is HUGE!) If Phyllis had not been
there
to show us around, I swear I would have gotten lost at least a half
dozen
times. Need I tell you that the woman keeps an impeccable house? I
only wish
I were a tenth as neat and tidy as she is! Anyway, we were heading to
the
Diner when my shoelace came untied. I stopped to tie it as the others
walked
on, too immersed in discussion to notice I had lagged behind. As I
stood, I
felt this odd sensation and turned to see this man standing there.
This man
was pale and had very dark eyes, which would not have been as odd as
the fact
that he seemed to be watching us. He saw me look at him and slowly
backed
away and around a corner, disappearing out of sight before I could even
think
to follow him. Isn't that strange?

There are definitely some presences in the house, at least three that I
know
of at the moment. I am not sure how much detail you are really
interested in,
so I guess I will save this for another email. This email is already
far too
long and I am sure you are sick of my ramblings.

Dear Ms. Hensley,

I always try to find the good in everyone I meet, though sometimes it
is
rather a dig, if you know what I mean. Mr. Willingham is unusual. The
sensations I get from him are something I have never felt before. I
will have
to try and spend more time with him and have asked Phyllis to try and
arrange
it, though he does not seem to be the type to go along with anything
cooked up
by yours truly. Ah well, such is life, I suppose.

Yes, there were three spirits that I encountered while we were touring
the
mansion. I fear I may have disturbed Phyllis when I did my little
trance
channel trick. She seemed rather more flustered with each room we went
into,
though I am not completely sure if it was my reporting or the fact that
there
was nary a peep, knock or odd mist to be found until her husband came
home,
and even then it was all human made.

Now, as to the presences that I felt, I do not want to say too much
until I
have confirmed what I sensed, but there were definitely three. The
first was
a young girl, perhaps no more than 12 or so. She gave off the
sensation of
someone quite depressed and lonely. I do not know yet if she is a dark
presence, but the darkness definitely surrounds her.

The second time I felt something was actually a linked pair; a man and
a woman
who, in no uncertain terms, wanted everyone to get out of their house.
They
gave me the image of the Willingham's flying through the air, landing
in a
heap with their antiques in a pile next to them. I would say that
these might
be the cause of the destruction we were shown today.

As for the third presence... well, that one is much harder to pin down.
Have
you ever stood in front of a big Sequoyah tree? You can almost sense
the age
of it and feel its life force pulsing through it. That is the
sensation that
I received from this third entity. I am only speculating, but I
believe that
there is a portal open in their house and whether that is what I am
feeling,
or what I am feeling is an entity that exists on the other side of the
portal,
I am not yet able to say. I can tell you this though, as I
concentrated on
the strong sensation of ancient maleness, it seemed to grow stronger
and
closer, as if it would wrap itself around me like a shawl. It knew I
was
there and was well aware that I knew it was aware of me. It seemed not
to
care one way or another, which is unusual in and of itself. Most
entities
either run when you sense them or puff themselves up and demand
attention as
they thrive on that sort of energy. This energy though was different.
I know
one thing for a fact, it is darkness. Nothing but darkness. But not
only is
it a denizen of the dark, it is also old, powerful and, I have to
assume,
wise. This energy frightens me, not for myself, but for Mrs.
Willingham and
anyone else who may have come into contact with it unwittingly. I face
these
things daily and cannot afford personal fear, as they feed on that, but
I am
concerned as to the effect this energy could have on those in the house
and
the surrounding area.

Please try and convince Phyllis to come to our B&B for a while. I
think the
change of scenery might do her good.

i've sent phyllis an email asking her to leave the house for a while.

EMAIL: New one from Iris

Dear Ursulla,

You seem to be a fount of knowledge, so I am writing to you to find out if you
have found any references to a person with the name of Alec? Phyllis
mentioned his name in passing and I have a gut feeling that this may be at
least part of the mystery that is surrounding her home. You see, I tried to
communicate with a young girl who is trapped in the house, but as I made
contact, something interrupted and surrounded me with darkness. I found that
I suddenly could not breathe and that my vision had grayed to the point where
I did not know if the lights had gone out or if I was about to pass out. I am
ashamed to admit that I panicked, I struggled to my feet and began to move
around, looking for the door, or a window, any way to get out of the room and
get some air. I sensed the girl was there, motionless as if watching and
then, as the sensation intensified and I knew I was about to pass out, I heard
her give a cry and run away as fast as her ethereal feet would take her.

I do not know how long I was out, but when I awoke, the room was noticeably
colder and there was still this sensation of entrapment. I will admit to
leaving the room as quickly as the child had earlier. I took a moment to
collect myself and, though I am ashamed to admit it, I peeked into the room
Mr. Willingham would not let us into earlier.

Finally I went back down to rejoin the others and managed to get Phyllis to
talk about

I am sorry, but I will have to finish my thought later. Phyllis just called
and something has happened.

Iris

Dear Pam,

No, of course I do not mind your using my first name. To be honest, I
am not
all that formal of a person and prefer the more friendly modes of
address.
Please do not worry about your friend. We made a lot of progress today
and I
am fairly sure that we will start to find some answers before long.

I know that Phyllis was in her office typing out emails for much of the
day, I
believe she was a tad miffed that we asked her to please vacate the
area where
we were working, but really, there are reasons for it. She has asked
to be
present for all aspects of the investigation and it is my gut instinct
to not
fight her on it, though it tends to cramp our style just a tad. I told
her
that she could observe from afar if she was willing to trust me when I
told
her I needed to be alone. She seems to understand that so far. We
will see
how we do as we go forth.

Today we managed to sit Phyllis down and got her to answer as many of
our
questions as we felt she could answer. We are very interested in the
Ashram,
a group whom Chris actually did some study of years ago. We are
actually
planning on trying to find the site, but so far no one has been open to
our
pursuing that manner of questioning.

Do you know this town has more portals, presences, entities and odd
energy
than any other I have been fortunate to come into contact with? I had
heard
reports of some dancing books at the library and Phyllis took pains to
try and
convince us that all of these troubles began with the opening of an old
trunk
that she now stores in her home. I guess the trunk was found in the
library,
supposedly sealed away for a long time. I find it odd that someone as
young
as Sarah Wyatt would have artwork in such an old trunk. I honestly
believe
that neither Mrs. Dobbs, nor Phyllis understand how the artwork got in
there,
so I do not buy into the circulating story that one of them snuck the
paintings in as a means of jacking up their price.

Ah, libraries are such magical places. Not only do you find the
energies of
the people who have resided there, poring over the books with delight,
but you
often can get an emanation of energy from the books themselves. There
is an
old saying that writers breathe life into the books with their own
blood,
sweat and tears, and I truly believe that. Of course, I should note
that the
Aglaura library has... how do I say this... more of a sense of the
characters
contained within the stories than any other library I have been in.

I wonder if the oddities I found within the library building have
anything to
do with the graffiti that I saw on our way in. Phyllis claims she did
not see
it, and had Chris and James not said they didn't see anything either, I
would
have wondered what game she was playing. It was there, I tell you! It
was
there as clearly as these words I am typing are here on my screen. I
must
admit that this put me rather on edge, as I do not generally have the
second
sight, despite the fact that my bloodline is renowned for its skills in
the
psychic realm.

Oh, Chris and James are here to head out to dinner. I will tell you
the rest
when I return. Phyllis told me that she communicates with a lot of
people
such as yourselves and I hope that you will do me the favor of sending
this
along to the others. I find it tedious to have to write the same
things over
and over, especially when no one has asked me any questions! Now, if
people
were to ask me questions, just try and shut me up.
