Ahh Gosh Grutte

you're a bit of a romantic deep at heart I guess...

..but when you're dealing with S&S and her (BRIGID) !!!!!! i think you should show a little more caution

- never mind S&S & Brigid - what about Wishi-San Neutral ?? (and Wishi-san's friends?? Shocked )

... by the way, (and back to the ranch) has anything happened lately on the "saving Jon" front? or are the P.M's still on their holidays

"A recipe guaranteed to peck-up your bloke's pecker"

Hi Vera,

what is that "Alcofribas" thing?

I tried the carrot, parsnip and courgette recipe but when i got to the part where I had to dice the carrot, Fred took a bit of a turn for the worst - I won't bore you with all the details dear, but he is in intensive care at the moment (honestly, the state our NHS hospitals are in - we had to wait 2 hours while the triage nurse removed a plastic dragon from a young lady's ... well I can't really say)

anyway, of course you could send some flowers but Fred would prefer something a little bit more on the liquid front - if Stella is too expensive, you could get him some Perrier water instead (it's since he's been watching those adverts - has to be be french related) but if you do want to get him some flowers, those red carnations would be OK (blinking Jean de Florette - I've cancelled our SKY subscription now )

give me a tinkle when you get chance... my arthritis is playing up something rotten - I don't know how those youngsters do all that texting

love Mavis

Think I may have pis**d the PM's off with last lyrical attempt, so here is a grovelly one to see if brown-nosing works

as usual apologies in advance and would like to re-assure those members of forum unused to Alco's ramblings that there are still some serious ARGOnaut players on the other threads

so.... to the tune of Moon River (and meak gets a mention, but only coz his/her name rhymed - when I find something to rhyme with me old mucker Grutte Pyr's handle, I will of course use that!)

Clue Givers

Clue Givers, nicer than a smile
We're cross ref'rincing files each day
Oh game makers, you dream breakers
Wherever you're goin', we're goin' your way

We're Clue Sifters, off to seek Jon's world
There's such a lot of world to seek
We're after the same reward's end, waitin' 'round the bend
My Shuck & Sable friends, clue givers, and Meak

Oh nooo, another one

Alco's bored tonight

**WARNING**

SERIOUS ARGONAUTS

DO NOT READ THIS POST

... to the tune of a Real Dead Ringer For Love...

A real dead Ringer for Morte

Every night I google "Aleph" and I go down the forum
I got my buddies and a Stella, got a new song to bore 'em
The Forum's begging the PM's c'mon and throw us all a clue
So we don't have to put up list'nin to this pile of poo
Baby baby, baby baby

Chorus:

Stella Artois brew, Stella Artois brew
Nothing means a thing when I google Moddey Dhoo
Stella Artois brew, Stella Artois brew
What's Peel castle and the Aleph got to do with you

I don't know who you are or what you do, or where you go when you're not around
I don't know anything about you Jonnie, but you're everything I'm googling for
I don't know who you are, but you're a real dead ringer for morte
(French pronunciation here!!)
A real dead ringer for Morte

(Brigid:) ever since I can remember you been hanging 'round my cave
I've been trying to bite your neck since you first visited my cave
I don't have to know your name and I won't tell you what to do
But a girl - she doesn't live by only Stella Artois brew

Baby baby, baby baby - chorus

(Jon: )You got the kind of teeth that do more than chew

(Brigid:) I've got these incisors that'll get the best of you

(Jon:) listen you got the kind of eyes that do more than see

(Brigid:) I can see more in my cave if you want to visit me

(Jon:) you got the kind of lips that do more than suck

(Brigid:) Oh, you'll get so much more at Sable & Shuck

(Jon:) But since I'm feeling kinda lonely and my defenses are low
Why don't you give it a shot and get it ready to go
I'm looking for anonymous and fleeting satisfaction (...services options)
And I want to tell the Forum I'll be missing in action

Ever since I can remember I've been hanging 'round this joint
My daddy never noticed, (childhood memories) get the point

You got me beggin' on my knees, c'mon and throw the dog a bone
A man he doesn't live by Stella Artois brew alone

Baby baby - chorus

Dead ringer for Morte
Dead ringer for Morte - dead ringer

wish the PM's would hurry up and giz a clue

at this rate I might have to abandon Jon and give Sente a hand with his cube thing at perplex city (got his e-mail t'other day)

... but that Perplex City doesn't probably doesn't have Stella Artois tho.... no, on second thoughts I don't think I could make such a big sacrifice as that, how could I be thinking of giving up the Golden Brew

but at the moment, all that can be said of this game is that it is Reassuringly Ex-Pensive...

come on PM's, give us something to be pensive about

I dunno if this is relevant (probably not) and feel free to bump off this reply if it seems superbly irrelevant, however, yesterday I went into Barclays bank and they have this little notice board up and on the top was the message "Where is Jon?" I asked the cashier about it and she said she had no idea what it was about. I then asked if there was a board marker around that the public could use and she said no, only the staff write on the board.

Coincidence??

Soz soz soz ... this one is very poo-er

.. but every peeps!! what has happened to our Jon? have we abandoned the poor wee sausage now in light of mere pecuniary interests - forsooks!

to the tune of Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Bridget's reward E-mail

When you're weary, feeling fraught
When tears are in your eyes, because you've been caught;
we're on your side. when times get rough
And friends just can't be found,
We'll take Bridg to the slaughter
we'll lay the law down
She'll wish we'd never fought her
we'll lay the law down

When you're hiding out,
in your hiding room
When clues are very hard
We'll still search for you.
We'll find the Star
Unless Stella Artois
Tempts everyone one first
With Bridget's hints and rewards
Of the big cash prize
With Bridget's hints and rewards
Of the big cash prize

Hide on Jonny Boy,
Hide real well
'Coz Bridge has bought our souls
and for a Stella we will tell
her everything.
we have a great thirst
To be one of the first
To get Bridget's big reward
So we'll erase you from
Our minds like Bridget wants
You're erased - you're gone!
