My doll is starting to get away from me.

One day I'm going to go to work, and I'm not going to notice it missing from its usual spot on the bannister. I'll do my time and come home, still not noticing that it's gone, and sit down in front of the TV. Then, I'll flip the channels, breeze by MTV, and make it all the way to the Food Network before I stop--double-take--and flip back to MTV Spring Break, where he'll be covered in whipped cream and participating in some kind of karaoke contest involving Jerry Springer, that dog that won the Westminster Dog Show, and Ashlee Simpson*.

(* Ashlee will win--too much practice.)
