Here you can see the comparison of the corner type building in the picture (left) and the one in the video (right).

I think (for those who aren't sure about the location) it's just a question of perspective (literally not figuratively Wink ).

That is most definitely our place. It all slides so perfectly into place.

This,when taken in the context of current international relations seems to be a comparison of the differences between the US and the UK. I am new to this and didn't get too far in the pregame(beyond the letters) so let me know if I am in left field.

Actually, all these newspapers have websites. If things hold up, they could end out posting whatever it is on their website...

Unless it's just more ads with backwards web addresses. -.-;;

John Titor? Are you a fellow Coast to Coast AM listener?
I think he speaks more of John Titor the scarily convincing man who appeared on a message board a few years back touting time travel and warning us all of impending doom. Unless they are the same person... euh, anyway.

In one piece of the Footage, there is a bit where the image becomes solid white for a second. Some guys in Tokyo manage to extract from this a very complicated and important image. Is there a way that an image could be hidden in these black spots? Was what happened in the book actually possible?

It's possible to interlace a heavily photoshoped image into a video stream pretty easily actually, although I've been tearing this video apart with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop and haven't found anything as of yet. Also, such tampering would be pretty easy to see with the naked eye. Of course, there are a lot of frames in those black spots so I haven't gotten very far. More of course, there could be something completely different hidden in there with a completely different method, in which case I'm chasing wild geese. Also, my eyes hurt.

And I haven't even started on the katakana yet. *still delierously happy though*

Yes, that's the same John Titor. I heard about him last fall when Coast to Coast AM did an episode about him.

Maybe I should give those katakana a stab, too.

Edit:

Here's what I can make of the signs in the video.

"EPSON" in the beginning in roman letters. They made my printer. This has probably been spotted.

The building/sign thing that flashes from black/yellow to red/orange seems to say "kamenko esuhasu," but I can't see them very well. "Kamenko" could just as easily be "ga no jifu." Any combination, really.

The red vertical ones near the end say "asurorawaa," maybe "asurofuraa." The A at the top is very hard to see.

This video is way too small and blurry for me to make anything else out. Maybe those of you who know your Japanese (as opposed to vaguely remembering some kana, like me) can see more.
