with season 3, they're really messing with the "reality" of the series, originally the show was set in the universe of Halo, (assuming that there was a civil war) but now, i'm not so sure, i don't even know what "planet" they're on now (or is it a Halo? its unclear)
Church got sent back in time to Marathon? the red and blue ctf n00bs?

will it be revealed in the end that they're all characters in a game?
should i just shut off my brain and enjoy the jokes?

Just shut your brain off and enjoy the jokes.

I'm only about half way through season 3, but I'm enjoying it so far... I need to catch up. Maybe I'll do that tonight.

I haven't seen the last two eps yet, as they're not exactly easy for me to watch. The videos won't work at all on the crummy computer at work, and at home they run like slideshows with jumpy audio. The only way I can really watch them is on the DVD's (I own the first two seasons, with the third on preorder. Highly recommended, if for no other reason than getting the deleted scenes and audio commentary) or on my Palm Tungsten T. And considering it takes about an hour per ep to convert it to a Kinoma Player file, and another 10-15 minutes to transfer to SD card, I haven't gotten around to the latest episodes.
Of course, the bright side to this is that I have most of season 3 on my Palm Pilot, and I can watch it wherever and whenever I want to. Very Happy

You know, that's probably something I should try out too...I have a tungsten T3, and have messed around with the video. My problem is, as you say, after going through all the trouble of coverting it, I could have watched the darn thing already Smile.
