PSYCHIC INVESTIGATOR COMING TO AGLAURA - July 08 , 2003

Quote:
Iris Page, a psychic investigator from Connecticut, will be in Aglaura shortly to investigate the strange incidents and events plaguing the area over the last few weeks. She was invited by Mrs. Phyllis Willingham, owner and operator of the Hollow Needle Rare Books and Antiques store, on Old Dobbs Road, in Aglaura, which has been the site of many a strange occurrence recently. The Hollow Needle's rash of bad luck began with a break-in several weeks ago, in which several valuable articles from a recently discovered old chest in the Aglaura Public Library disappeared. This has been followed by a string of weird things happening in the Willingham business, which also serves as their primary residence. Things such as strange noises, playful lights and light switches, and even floating items and apparitions have all been reported by Mrs. Willingham. Overwhelmed by the incidents, Mrs. Willingham contacted Iris Page, a psychic investigator of some fame through her website, www.edgeofsight.com. "I'm hoping this will rid my house of whatever may be there," said Mrs. Willingham, in a released statement about the upcoming arrival.

THE CHANGING WALLS - MORE WEIRDNESS IN AGLAURA - July 11, 20

Mrs. Phyllis Willingham, owner and operator of the Hollow Needle Rare Books and Antiques store, on Old Dobbs Road, in Aglaura reported yet another very strange incident at her home and store last night. "I don't know how to explain it," she said today to local friends, "It was the strangest thing. Last night, in one of the rooms of the house, small pieces of artwork and writing began appearing on the walls. I immediately called Iris over to witness it. And then, this morning, it was all gone" Iris Page, a psychic investigator in Aglaura to investigate the recent rash of unusual occurrences, did go to the Hollow Needle and witness the weird event last night but refused to comment on what she experienced. She did confirm Mrs. Willingham's version of the events, however.

Message from the Mayor of Aglaura 7/12/03

Dear Aglaura community residents,

I'd like to take this opportunity to invite everyone in the area to a Cook out at my house today, July 12th, in Aglaura NJ. That's right, we're cooking out at the Mayor's house today to take advantage of this beautiful weekend weather we are finally enjoying. Come and enjoy some of Mrs. Agatha Dobbs' great BBQ recipes and see me, Mayor Pat Dobbs, cooking food for you on the grille.
We are going to have games to play, music to listen to, and lots of food to eat, plus there are bound to be a few "local celebrities" stopping by, such as local author Wes Keeler, and maybe even the visiting "psychic investigator" Iris Page.
So come join us. Everyone knows where the Mayor's house is and the fun starts around 2:00PM and goes until everyone goes home. We've got plenty of Jersey tomatoes, home-grown sweet white corn, and local Del Doyle cranberries. Come by for a real "taste of Aglaura".
Now - let's go eat!

Pat J. Dobbs
Mayor of Aglaura

bgardner @ CD had a great spec:

Why this sudden *unplanned* BBQ at the Mayor's? This gets everyone out of the Willingham's house. Could this be under orders from Don Marzano??

my thoughts:

Is there something hidden in the house that Don wants. Will someone be breaking into the house while everyone else is at the BBQ? I'm referring back to Phyllis' dream and Iris' vision.

I'm hoping there is a less sinister reason here, I sent a letter to Agatha Dobbs after recieving a letter from her regarding Phyllis and the investigators paying a visit (nothing new or shocking to reveal, she thought it was an imposition and a big lot of nothing) I asked her to please be nice to Phyllis because she had been under a lot of stress due to the investigation putting a lot of perssure on JD, and hinted that there were actual odd occurances at the house, breaking dishes and all with her there while it happened (I did not add what agency might have cause it, and went as far as suggesting there was an outsider that might have set all this up, not Phyllis Agatha or onyone else) which was a lot more frightening and dangerous than coming to the library and finding books on the floor. I asked her to perhaps take Phyllis a pleasant book (mentioned "Secret Garden" by Burnett, and C.S. Lewis Chronicles of Narnia series) or perhaps take her to lunch or shopping to get her out and with other people instead of having her sit in that spooky house all day alone. I'm hoping that is one thing that will happen at the BBQ, and there will probably be other shenanigans going on at the same time.

WEIRD LIGHTS REPORTED AT THE LAKE OF TEARS - July 15, 2003

For the last week or so, Pemberton Township residents have reported seeing strange colored lights above and in the area around the Lake of Tears, on Rt. 72 just a few miles outside of Aglaura. Long a summer favorite of Aglaura residents, the Lake of Tears is a well-known local attraction, offering swimming, fishing, and boating and a colorful local history as well. The lake is a crater lake and was called "Machtando Machtschikamik", or "devil's hole" by the area's native Lenape Indians. Local historians attribute the name to the fact that the lake isn't fed by any visible rivers or streams.
NJ State Police have responded to several calls about the strange lights but refused comment when called for a report. A local natural historian and geologist, Dr. Steven Roth, thinks the lights may be the result of the lake being a crater lake, and that the lights might be either escaping subterranean gasses or reflections of underground light sources far below.

AGLAURA OFFICIALS IN BURLINGTON FOR GRAND JURY TESTIMONY

July 15, 2003

Aglaura officials, including the Mayor, Borough Attorney, and most of the Aglaura Borough Council, were in Burlington today, for possible testimony before the Marzano Enterprises Grand Jury. Although the proceedings are closed to the general public, it's expected that the Aglaura officials would begin appearing late today or tomorrow at the latest, with their appearances and possibly the Grand Jury wrapping up this week. The Aglaura Municipal Building will remain open for business during regular hours despite the absence of these elected officials.

With regards to the Lake, here are some things I found:

Quote:
Playgrounds of Goblins and Fairies
Some ancient groves were built in places where strange lights are nowadays reported, with many Stone and Bronze-Age sites being the centres of modern UFO phenomena. There have been recorded examples of unexplained 'lights in the sky' at places such as Glastonbury and Silbury for many centuries. It would appear that these ancient locations were specifically chosen because of this unusual activity.

The phenomenon has since been scientifically associated with the presence of geological fault-lines nearby. These generate massive amounts of piezo-electric energy whenever the fault shifts, which in turn ionizes the molecules in the air above the ground causing them to emit light. These 'lights' then travel along the fault line as the rocks to either side invisibly ripple into place deep below the ground.

These sites were centres of superstition, generating primal fear within all who entered them, especially during the hours of darkness. It was thought that ghosts and spirits dwelt in these places, and took delight in beguiling any who drew near.

________________________________

The Temple of Apollo at Delphi was based around a volcanic fumarole from which 'mephitic vapours' issued, causing all who breathed the gases to hallucinate and prophesy. This holy place was consecrated to Apollo and in his honour was planted with Laurel trees (Daphne sp.) whose branches met overhead, forming a templum nemorale (a natural temple formed from the interwoven boughs of trees). The central trees were later replaced by a large and imposing classical temple of stone. The priestesses here were called Pythia, they wore laurel crowns and chewed the leaves of the plant in order to experience the divine visions, they were for this reason also known as the Daphnephagi ('laurel-eaters').

The Grove of Aricia overlooks the circular volcanic crater of Lake Nemi, about sixteen miles from Rome in the Alban hills. This place was dedicated to the goddess of hunting, Diana, the lake also being known as Diana's Mirror, the sanctuary itself the Lucus Dianae Nemorensis 'The Grove of Diana of the Sylvan Glade'. The high priest of the temple here was known as the Rex Nemorensis or 'King of the Glade', and was an ex-slave who obtained this position by killing his predecessor in mortal combat.

Philo mentions a religious sect named the θεωρητικοι, (theoretikoi, 'thinkers') who were given to contemplation, and who were wont to retire into the solitudes of woods and groves. The City of Vienna arose around a sacred grove, the last remaining tree of which, the Stock am Eisen 'Timber of Iron', still stands in the centre of the city.

Strange you should mention that, I think I said something similar to Agatha the other day when I responded to a slightly snippy letter of hers regarding Phyllis and Iris visiting the Library. I didn't site any sources but I did mention earth lights at fault lines, "Sprites" and "Plumes" (lightning related phenomenon) and being recently described by "legitamate" science. I wonder if Dave is starting to borrow things from our comments and research... Laughing Laughing Laughing

I don't think I ever posted the letter in interaction, because Agatha hasn't replied to it. Nor did I include any reference url for it so you adding some places for ppl to go look is good. Now I need to go find the Sci. Am. article about the plumes and sprites Very Happy

Don't sweat it hun.. Folks also didn't pay any attention to the spec I put out in March, which said that the end-game run would centre around the Lake of tears, and it looks like I may be proven right considering the news events. Laughing

Having the satisfaction of saying I told you so, when folks have ignored you is always fun. Wink
