Yeah, I remember that episode (such a dork, I know...). The two teenage girls were born at the exact time of some planetary alignment and because it was happening again they started to get telekinetic powers (or something like that). A syzygy is a planetary alignment, so odds are that this is just conincidence.

Syzygy is probably used in quite a lot of places in the world, this does not automatically mean they are connected. If you're going to suggest something at least back it up with some form of reason.
