LINK

well now we know the video was filmed in japan. if u search around the site can find some emails but i dont think this company (it looks like the site one) has anything to do with the game Sad

I agree it's not relevant and we already knew it was filmed in Tokyo. I only posted the link because someone was talking about looking up the phone number to verify an address or somesuch.

Now we have even more evidence that it is in Japan. I think we can be pretty certain that it is.

As for the website, I think it might of been a typo... I do think it's OOG
But trere is binary on the site '01010100 01011001 01010000 01001111'
That fits neatly into a 4x6 grid but by colouring the '1's I couldn't see anything interesting

01010100
01011001
01010000
01001111

I'm pretty sure that this only exists to confuse us.

Back to the video, we have to think, what significance doesw Japan have, the only thing I've seen people say is the games manufactures. I don't think it's right though, there has to be more to it than that.
A couple of questions..
Was Sente in Japan? If so, Is he still there?
Who's voice is present in the voiceover?

EDIT - One more thing, why does Sente what to attract more attention to the cube?

I'm stumped on "aairmover" as well. As mentioned above, the binary spells "TYPO", furthering the theory that this page was created just to end speculation as to whether the perlplexcity typo was done on purpose or not.

I wish I knew somebody in Japan that could explore the street featured in the video and tell me if there is anything special about the intersection the car passes through.

Just wanted to mention that a separate thread for the PERLplexcity site has been started and is active. See http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8992 for details.

GANOTME

GANOTME means NOT IN GAME: GA not ME.
PERLPLEX was indeed a typo

The binary translates as the ASCII text: TYPO

which also seems to confirm that "perlplex" was a typo

I'm not sure if that's the route.

It seems to cross more roads than that.

I attached the bare video (without any of the blackouts or dates) so the route is easier to follow.

RE: Perlplexcity.com

As far as I can tell, this site has been set up for those who stumble across it through the ad. The only link is to Perplexcity, and the site tells us that it is 'not in game' and 'typo'. Then again, there could be more to it - but if there were, surely the site would have already existed before?

I setup this page with images before I came along to the forum for this new ARG: http://whataboutpp.com/arg/movie/

I am just guessing that this is nothing and we are waiting for an update from the next newspaper, but these are some things that stood out for me:

The first two capitalization were correct on the newspaper dates, but then the rest of them were all capitalized completely. This is not a big deal, but it is kind of funky that they type February correctly, then for the rest of the Februarys have it completely capitalized and the other months after that.

The other differences I also saw was that the timing on each fade in/out varied. The minimum I saw was a second and maximum was 3 seconds. The odd part about it was that some of them were fading and others were not fading. As if they were trying to just throw in a blank part for a short amount of time, or something of that sort.

Perhaps the seconds intervals could lead up to the other dates for the blank spots. (Two 2nds (seconds) after that previous date).

The video has been gone through frame by frame. All the black spaces are exactly two seconds plus six frames long. I believe there's a count of how long every bit of the video is somewhere in the previous pages of this thread. I think they just seem longer or shorter because of having/not having text, and how much is said during them.

All the blackouts (with and without text) are the same length, but the time between blackouts varies.

[META] Perplex City video in QuickTime format

Does anyone have the Perplex City video clip in a format other than Quicktime? I don't have quicktine, and I'm not too keen on downloading just anything under the sun.

Edit: Merged into the video topic - Wishi-san

Quicktime Alternative is great.
