[PUZZLE?] Music clue in video from text hints

I had posted on this once, it got ignored, so am going to make its own thread.

Am of the theory that there is a puzzle hidden in the music. The speech the lady gives is running musical hints all over the place. Will capitalize.

"There is a THEME that has risen again and again in our studies, across all relevant disciplines.
The similarities between our peoples are truly profound.
And consequently, serve to make the differences all the more shocking.
It is as though our modern day societies took our collective cultural experiences, all of our shared history
and learned from it, completely different LESSONS.

One could expect then, a feeling of (pause) alienation from the subjects of our STUDY.
This is not so.
Our researchers have, instead, come to identify very strongly with their counterparts on the other side of the curtain (yay pms!)

The RHYTHMN we occupy seems to be a long PERIOD of comfortable familiarity with a COUNTERPOINT of STUDIES.

and often SHARP (pause)
culture shock.

Somehow, I am of the theory that these words which seem a tad out of place are pointing to a musical clue. The counterpoint to the main melody is the harp. So I would put my best onto its action or notes.

Any takers to this?

i cannot accept that the video doesn't hide a message. there has to be more to it. sorry just my train of thought- what warrants an email and an update isnt simply a timeline of more updates, but a clue-ed message aswell.

although i am stuck for ideas as to how we tackle the musical challenge. will think about it after i have more time (in the middle of chores). Crying or Very sad

It could be hiding a million things. But I havent seen anyone else puyt up the musical link that I am seeing. The words seem out of context, but when taken to gether, it sez music Smile

but who knows how many thigns are hidden round? we still have no context, and dont know the rules they are playing it all by....

This may be nothing, as I only have a quicktime player which allows me to play the music backwards only at double speed. When doing this, I swear I can hear normal words like civilisation in there, however, it may just be me trying too hard to listen. Is anyone able to rip the audio out and convert it into an .mp3 or similar, so that we may be able to reverse the audio, chop it up, and anything else thats possible to find the clues, if there are any.

yes the her voice goes very mechanical/robotic in instances, and some of the words do sound ambiguous. and that funky echo... mayhaps we are reading too much into it. better safe than sorry tho. would explain why some words cannot be made out clearly. societies/curtain etc.. maybe they have a backwards meaning also.

About the hidden messages when the audio is played backwards:

I nabbed the audio with Premiere and gave it some hi-res upgrades (made it easier to hear) and exported it. Then I plugged it into Acid Pro and played with playing it backwards... got nothing. *poop*

Not to say there isn't anything, but I didn't find anything.

Tony:

Actually I noticed the musical theme as well, which is exactly why I'm looking for the source of the music. Was it picked for a reason (other than just being kind cool sounding) or what? Either way, it is strange.

I've given up on finding hidden messages in the video, now I'm focusing on the audio.

I've tried a few things, including reversing, playing at different speeds, and subtracting the right channel from the left (a techique sometimes used to remove vocals from music), but can't come up with anything.

As requested, here's the audio ripped from the video:
video_audio.mp3

Marrec: since the video says counterpart thewn counterPOINT the second time, I think its deliberate.

The harp is providing a counterpoint to the main melody. note how the harp isnt given to a single tune phrase but seems to wander all over the place.

for Tranquil Valley, I had wrote a puzzle which never went live of hiding a secret message within the notes of a song. I think we have something like that here.

If anyone can transcribe the musical notes for this, mainly the harp, we may have something. Or nothing, but too much is pointing to something Smile

Before I forget, the code I used for my song went like this

A B C D E F G A
H I J K L M N B
O PQ R S T U C
V W X Y Z D

The music idea was the word translated by the above table. Then a second set of arpregiated noted told the row position, the ABCD column. So for example, the musical notes for puzzle would encode as:

B G F F E E C (hi c) C (hi c) D (hi c) D (hi c) B (hi c) A (hi c)

I am thinking the harp is doing that kind of coding or its own in a similar method.

Reversed sound from video here

Doesn't sound like there's any words in there to me - careful of paredolia Wink

And the metallic/flanged/glitchy quality of her voice could simply be an artifact of compression....

The flanged is NOt on her voice all the time. Only in certain places. That takes it out from being an artifact....

I'm sure she says - a counterpoint of SUDDEN and often sharp culture shock.

How is counterpoint a musical term anyway?

EDIT-

Never mind, I looked it up.

I think there are probably more words to do with school than to do with music.

Do you not think searching the archiving of the newspapers for items relating to culture shock on the specific dates in the video

also do you not think the 5 second gaps for the date and newspaper relate to something and why is there blank ones half way thorugh

Or research, which is what they're actually talking about. I really don't agree with labelling "lesson" and "study" as musical terms, but it's an angle to work with, which is better than having nothing to work with when considering the video as a puzzle.

Lots of discussion along these lines over in the main video thread

music study

the music words seem to jump out deliberately.
