I lost the first half of the conversation because I'm on AIM express, it was just us talking about him being asian, then he left and came back.

What I found out in an unsaved converstaion (AIM sucks):
Sam killed Jim. Someone was down the stairs trying to talk to me with broken fingers. Nobody (including Sam) can leave, for some unknown reason.

I think I may have found a potential site for Dr. Tannis's death. Using the Temple of the Sun name from the post about Tannis, I think that it is the Temple of the Sun in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico.

edit: I'm talking to Sam right now. I think I got it right.

You know... I'm trying really hard to follow along here, but I can hardly read sam's stuff. Did someone said shell=0 and dot=1??? So that means we have binary to work with, yes? What is this website space?

I don't know what it is, but I think we need to translate that thing fast. Sam's been saying some stuff about a prophecy, and I have no clue what he's talking about. When this convo is finally over, the log will go up.

You guys do know that thing came from Anne or Jim right? It got sent while Sam was on the Albrecht Wasser S/n and they were sneaking onto his computer. I don't have a clue what it means, but I was talking to one of the victims about it, they were being all cryptive, said they couldn't let Sam know about it. Ta ta for now, thank god we get a break tomarrow, I got a busy day!

Oh and Ps Spaceboy says that he was Murdered at Temple of the Sun in Pelanque, Chiapas Mexico, because that was the name of the guy who posted about Tannis's death, makes sense!

Wow. I just finished a LOOOONG conversation with Sam. About 2 hours, in fact. Some really crazy stuff went down.

You know this guy is pretty smart what with the Aphasia and Circadian references. I think that we need to start putting everything together. Everything seems all over the place I can't quite tell what is happening.

I'll start off everyone please add.

So we got a weird IM from someone named Albrecht Wasser that wanted to tell his son Sam a message from the dean: "He is not who he seems to be" (Do we have any idea what this means yet?). Instead he got hkdl who posted his message here. After he realized that it was the wrong address he logged off but first mentioned a Dr. Tannis who seems to work with him and he also said that he was going to Mexico.

Shortly after, I found a post by a "Temple of the Sun" posted on 02-08-2005 that said that a Dr. Janus Riis Tannis died in Mexico. The authorities said it was a bulldozer accident but the one posting didn't think so. It also said that Dr. Albrecht Wasser was missing in Mexico (mind you this was before he had actually left for Mexico).

Several references to a Janus Riis Tannis posting in online game forums were found. (Later this was explained by students of his liking him so much they named their characters after him.)

Another AIM conversatino to hkdl, this Albrecht thinking that he was Sam again. He also mentioned that his website would be down due to vandalism until March 14th.

Spaceboy tried to contact Albrecht Wasser again but got someone named Annie. She is a grad student in one of Dr. Wasser's class in their University. She was checking e-mails and taking messages for him. She mentioned that the university didn't even seem to exist anymore because they were no longer online (probably because of the vandalism mentioned before). Something odd was that she said that Sam and Dr. Wasser "go way back" ( I think later on Sam refers to Dr. Wasser as his dad).

Next gemsweetipie tried talked to Tom, who was another student at Dr. Wasser's computer and said that the doctor would be gone until March 14th because on of the professors died. She also asked if gem wa part of AHA(American Historical Association?) or the grant people.

Next RascalRwr716 talked to Tom, who said he was the morning shift. He said that they've been talking about everyone AIMing them and thought they were part of some hacking that had gone on, evidently there was a fire in the server room too,(possibly caused my mice?) Rascal showed him the post about Wasser missing and Tom freaked out because it was from two weeks earlier. After a while he believed we were sincere and said to not talk to Annie about this stuff (because she was really emotional) and to definitely not talk to Sam about this stuff, because all hed does is shoot stuff instead of working on his thesis. He also he wanted to help because of how creepy Sam was getting.

Rascal tried to talk to Tom again but instead got Jim, who then dropped a glyph onto the keyboard (breaking it). He seemed to insinuate that Sam played a lot of games and also would have flunked class if he wasn't who he was. He also said that there were "all sorts of glyph cuttings from the bad old days" (what bad old days?). He also asked Rascal to not tell anybody he was on the computer because he wasn't supposed to be.

Next hkdl got a hold of Jim Jansen or Kid Jim, or Undergrad Jim (a lot of names for him, probably because there are two Jims in this). He seemed to like the mysterious aspect of everyone getting involved. He said that hkdl and Sam's IM's are similar. ALso he thought that Sam might be playing games with all of the other students and also seemed to be pretty intimidated by Sam. Also he said that they were at Stratford University, not the Irish one.

Next Annie contacted EvelynEngine and said that the lab was all smashed up. She thought it might have been Sam because he's done things like that before when he was drunk. Also she said that the glyph was broken and it was 600 years old. She sent a picture of the glyph (which I interpreted to mean SA-MA, which probably stood for Sam). But then she said Sam was coming and got off.

Soon after The EvelynEngine talked to Sam, who had gotten on the computer. He spelled horribly and demanded to know who broke the stone, which he called his "baby stone" and he said that his dad gave him the stone. He then got really furious and said that he would gut them all if he had to to find out who broke the stone.

Spaceboy then talked to Sam who talked more about how he and his dad (Dr. Wasser) didn't get a long and how his dad worshipped Dr. Tannis. Also hr got pretty angry at the end and signed off after saying "Killer Baby Hunter Killer Baby." (There was also talk in the beginning about whether this was an ARG or not)

Then at 2:30 on Friday the crap hit the fan. SirTejicus tried to get a hold of someone at the lab but he just got line after line that seemed like gibberish. We then realized that the first letters of each word were forming words. We got:

HELP US
IMPRISONED
THIS IS TOM
SAM I WATCHING
HE HAS ANNIE
WE NEED YOUR HELP
AIM IS THE KEY
and then SAM SAM SAM and then some random letters at the end.

SirTejicus had another conversation with Tom and communicated in the same manner:

Albrecht: I hope you understand what I'm saying, this is a dangourous moment
Albrecht: He is watching. 4certain combo
Albrecht: Tell your friends immediatly

Me: sams initials?
Me: Anne?
Albrecht: Waiting by sams comp!
Me: Why?
Albrecht: We need to talk to each other, When Albrecht gets back we will be safe
Albrecht:You have all you need!!
Me: Stay Safe! We will help!
Albrecht: Bless You!

Then Sam got on and started things off by saying that "4 was the majick Number" (???). Then he told SirTejicus that he had to pick who broke the stone. Then he insinuated that he would kill that person and let the others go. He sinished things off by saying: "dogwood land and smelly ass tiger bugs" (somehow I think this is important."


Then Enaxor got on a talked to Sam. Sam said that Enaxor could be his insider and that he would tell him andswers and show hime the easy path, all he had to do was find out who broke the stone. Sam also talked about the big game being tonight (Friday) and that he got the idea from Halo2 and also that it involved sacrifice. he said the stone was a baby stone (????) and that it was 600 years old and had prophecies about him and that it was the only way his dad showed that he cared. He then told Exanor not to tell anybody about it (oops, oh well he told everybody else anyway).

Then The EvelynEngine got ahold of toTom again and communicated the samw way tom did earlier. Here's a transcript, since I didn't see one. I translated everything I thought was code and wrote the sentences of things I didn't understand or thought were cryptic sentences.

TEE: Good evening may I have a moment of your time?
AW: DR. Orange, Imglad you requested teh transcripts, reading them again and agian will help.
TEE: Well, Dr. Wasser, it is only what I can do to help. I'm assuming you've come to a conclusion on the subject then?

EE: I am aware
AW: Excuse? Dr. Orange I find this to be our best hope.
TEE: What is his aim
AW: Following words
TEE: Go ahead
AW: Dr. Orange though it Well, Dr. Wasser, it is only what I can do to help. I'm assuming you've come to a conclusion on the subject then?
AW: Game name
AW: Real initials
AW: Bring (this was just one word, btw)
AW: Dr. Orange, I need a response from you. I fear I may have been misrepresented in this matter.

TEE: There is no misrepresentation. I seem to have lost some of your earlier paperwork. What are the city's initials again?

Sam then got on and said the part about 4 being the magic number and then signed off.


Then Sir Tejicus got some clues from Tom that helped us get his AIM name: Hksl0521.

We also got a seemingly binary message (presumably from Annie). I don't think this has been decipehered yet. Also there have been three more posts but Iam too tired to include all of them. ANybody want to finish of this summary. Hope this helped guys.

Wow, creepy. i spoke to someone yesterday evening (uk time) and got the sentences about 'I may peer into..' etc and some random things about the glyph and 'smoking wooden indians' and I just thought someone must have had a little too much to drink.

You guys are very smart.... keep it up!

Basically After I got Sam's address from Tom, Sam took over his computer and told me that I had to decide who he was going to kill. He gave me two hours to decide, while he was telling me this, Anne or Jim (I think jim because he had broken hands and it was typed very labouriously, but he answered to Anne, think that was a mistake) got onto Sam's addy and sent out that file sometime waiting for the time to be up.
Someone apperantly betrayed us while I was trying to tell Sam he had broken the stone while he was drunk. He left to "Do some work" and Anne/Jim started typing on his computer again, sending one letter at a time, trying to have a conversation with me. Tom tried to break the window to get out but everything he tried wouldn't work. Sam tells me when he comes back that he sacrificed Jim and he is a god now. He calls Wasser Daddo and says someone took him away. I didn't get much else out of Sam except that he wanted to know where Dr. God died, Tannis. He was going to keep everyone self until I told him on Monday.
No clue on how to decipher the picture but that's the story up until now on my end.
