Actually, I think chippy might be onto something. If it isn't some mathematical translation, it might have something to do with Vatican 2.

Why not take a suggestion from a mysterious guest....?

I think you're right, I've been sitting with this speech in front of me for ages now, and I'm getting nothing. I like the speech idea, I'm thinking we could try the same technique on the 'atomic clock' experiment, Einstein's paper is on the net somewhere I've seen it before. Also, perhaps we have to keep on track of the subject, all of the other clues have been related to religion, keeping in line with the story. Even the rainbow picture is a reference to when Synagoga told us that she remembers seeing a rainbow. Maybe the Vatican idea could work? I don't know, but my point is I'm agreeing, I think we're going in the wrong direction.

I remembered that someone said the numbers actually changed at one point, so I thought maybe it's a clue. I haven't got anywhere though...

Maybe we have to take the new combination of words and muddle them up into a sentence. I don't know... although I still think we're barking up the wrong tree I can't tear myself away from this idea...

If anyone wants the speech in Excel, here it is. It's easier to find the words.

I tried at least a dozen different combos using different text versions of the speech, with and without headings/intoduction etc.

Nothing coherent.

Here's the text starting from about 200 different locations (sequentially from the start). I think it's safe to say this is a wash. (Whoever picked the text may have picked a slightly different version, of course -- there are some erroneous ones out there.)

Also, I tested the code on letters. Still no luck.

Bright ideas in different directions are appreciated.

As I said before, I don't think the westpoint speech has anything to do with this.
I do not believe that whoever created this made the solution depending on finding the location of the window in the picture.

If we want to use the numbers as indicators for words or letters in a text then I think the 2nd vatican council may have more merit. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Vatican_Council)
It started in 1962, is of great importance to religion and addresses the judaism/christianity issue.
A full transcript of the opening speech may be found here: http://www.christusrex.org/www1/CDHN/v2.html

Ok so I subtracted the second set of numbers from the first set, just trying to come up with something, here are the numbers afterwards.
Code:
9, 10, 128, 52, 125, 198, 463, 183

and doing the digit thing I got this.
Code:
9, 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 4, 3

I divided it by 1962, cut it in two two 4 digits and divided it again, I'm pulling at straws and this one edned up being pretty pointless too.

that speech from Pope John's gonna be even worse than the McArthur one because it has to be a translation from Latin meaning there are probably several different versions on the internet.

Jordan, maybe use latin?? Most the answers so far have had some type of ancient or historical reference and If they were using his speech, they would have realised that many mistakes could be made in translation, So going with the Orginal seems like the best idea.

Looks like the Pms gave up on us figuring out the answer, has anyone actually talked to Syn since the website went up?

It's simple. They don't like you. They don't want to see you... You have me though. You have me to look after you, and that's all you need.

They love me... I know they do!

They hate you. No one likes a machine.

So Synagoga is a machine? Confused

Anyone think that this conversation might be giving us the piece of the puzzle we need, like their conversation if/when complete will be the text we use? And maybe its characters rather than words. Or, that we aren't meant to solve it yet, until after we've seen what this page turns into on completion.

(edit - Also I doubt that she's completely machine since there have been references to her hair. She's probably more machine in nature as in she does what she's told, like the visions she's told to see.)

Hello, excuse the short intro Embarassed I've been lurking here for a few months now and since the find jon ARG has gone quiet yet again I decided to look for new games and came across this and I'm intrigued!!!

Anywho, being a Brit 7pm PST would be 3am Sunday morning correct (I did google it and I think I'm right. I havent slept in 36hrs so maths isnt my strong point right now!!)? I may have to go sleep so I can catch Synogoga/Anastasia on AIM

I've been thinking along the lines of a synagogue opening/reopening in 1962 and there being some kind of speech/essay thinger that we need to look at.

Any help would be appreciated Smile
