Email Iris and How She Was Contacted

Dear Sunny,

Now that I have had a chance to get some distance from the events of yesterday and have worked out some of the nerves I woke up with, I find myself sitting in this room and feeling as though I need to do something constructive, so I thought I would answer some of the mass of emails that have been waiting for me.

In answer to your question, Phyllis contacted us after we contacted her, if that makes sense. We saw a brief news blurb about this wacky town where the residents were reporting all manner of strange events. Chris, the saint that he is, tracked down the town's website and sent off emails to every email he could find listed on that site. We were frankly shocked at how many people wanted us to come and look at what was going on. We were considering starting an investigation of the library when Phyllis's email arrived and we just could not turn down such a heart-felt request. Of course, the fact that she is paying our expenses does not hurt one bit. She was the only person who offered to pay our way, so she is the person who gets priority and she is the person who I feel a loyalty to. The others will have to wait their turn and hope that we are able to extend our stay before our other lives call us back
home.
