Read the chat transcripts, that'll help. But basically, 'BlackWhite, Hiker, and Alphabet' were all people that got new nicknames. 'Tis just to prove that she heard the conversation.

Working off what jbd did with the speech I've numbered every word in the speech for the only 5 logical starting points that we should begin counting from. I hope this helps. I still think Synagoga was telling us to start with the word general last night but since she also said introductions werent worth anything I did several other versions cutting out anything that could be considered an introduction. Have at it.

The "don't listen to every word" made me think that rather than word count in McArthur's speech, it may be letter count.

I think this may be the correct way to solve this, simply based on early returns which look quite promising.

O N A E D A Y U O U G O O R H E G A K O A

Starting From Duty, Honor, Country:

A S N O T F S Y I L N W E A E P W H E A D

Hmm, has anyone noticed the lurking words in these strings?

1st: One day? You?

2nd: As not? Head?

Anyone thought that these could be anagrams?

I don't know but Ecc did give us a link to the McArthur speech

http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/au-24/au24-352mac.htm

Don't know if the speech is any different but if theres a difference of one letter then it could totally change things, I guess we should work with this one. It doesnt include the part that starts with general or the joke so it basically equates to McArthur3.doc that I posted above. It'd probably be best to do it straight from what she gave us though, I'm on it but if you work fast try to beat me. Also this version has Thayer Award in brackets like the other version we were using so I have no idea how to do it, I'm gonna run it both ways. (edit - dang it, i did a translation straight from the dang website and it still makes no sense with or without using [Thayer Award] here are the words (with Thayer Award) that came closest to making sense, I dont think i need to use the spoiler thing since I highly doubt they're right: Unbelievers be life expression but nation's eloquence code honor arouses tribute symbolize are personality poetry every loved land express unbelievers no.
The only thing unusual is that these seems to have more long words (4 letters +) in it than I would expect a random sampling to.

not 100% sure though, so correct me if I'm wrong. But that's what I read in it.

EDIT:

And underneath it, it says

Nice sig! I think everyone deserves a round of applause for solving this one, especially Jordanmc, Chippy, Schapin and Sarah. Well done everyone!
