If you're reffering to djrazz, it's common knowledge that the pms (I always giggle when I type that, how immature I am. Joy) will be watching the board activity during a game.

This could be something, or it could be nothing.

Watch the video with the black spaces taken out (whomever did that, thanks). At 0:31, pause it.

You will see this:

I apologize for the watermark there; that's not apart of the video, but I don't have a decent video screenshot thingy.

It looks less like an H and more like a 4 to me.

Like I said, could be something, could be nothing, but the camera turned left for a reason and that jumped out at me.

I think that there will be nothing significant within the footage apart from helping us identify where it was filmed.
Why is Japan significant though??

Yeh, one of the PM's must be there, otherwise It could have been very complicated getting the video

It also could even have been video they were given - as in - they liked the look of it and decided to use it. (The colours are quite similar to those on the postcard picture - though I do know that it wasn't perplex it was set it - it might have had something to do with their choice)
Seems unlikely considering the impact their every action has on us - but who knows.

Re: Why Japan?

My friend and I were watching the video on loop last night and throwing out ideas, one of the best came from discussions on culture shock. I'm not sure it hasn't been brought up already, but if we take the video merely as the video - no big, blatent puzzles hidden in it but rather, just images that fit nicely with the theme, it seems relatively obvious. Japan's cultural evolution into the 'modern' western world has resulted in such a bizarre, to americans, culture - it's that akward mix of what is so fundamentally familiar with what is so radically different that sticks out in the mind of most of pop culture when Japan is brought up.

Bearing in mind the voiceover in the video is discussing 'sharp culture shock' and connections between 'two modern cultures with similar histories' who learn 'completely different lessons', the analogy of Japan seems to fit superbly.

My two cents is that the images of industrial, cosmopolitian Japan is to help us in how we're to think of the rift between 'our' world and the world of PPC.

thats way to deep and would propbably be lost on most

for all we know this is stock footage

but now that you've said that thats what it could become if the pms follow what we write

theres a concept a game completely written by the people playing it without know there writing it

Interesting stuff, prufrock. well spoken, well observed.

Minus the word "instead" which could be an error:

"Shocking. It is as though a feeling of alienation researchers have on the other side of the curtain."

Well, to me, if this is meant to be a message to us, it seems that instead makes sense there. We havn't exactly recieved a full clue yet - why should that change now. Maybe we only have one half of a conversation here. There's a response. But, then again, if you look at the sentence structure, it seems a bit... unwieldly. Perhaps it would be better worded

"Shocking. It is as though they feel alienated on the other side of the curtain, instead. (of what?)"

God damn we need some more clue things here! This could be a wonderful ARG - if only something happened in it!
