Current Spec:

Gamma Radiation recorded using Spectrography. Flight Rules shows an increase in IFR flights due to possible Gamma Bursts. Gamma Bursts possibly linked to Solar Winds. Permagon is ancient Greek Talisman, has egyptian heiroglyph B representing the Sun. Pergamon (Pergamum) also ancient city dedicated to Sun worship.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
www.soogees.com/sun.htm returns "Wrong Answers. What are the numbers?

Note the plural.

Image Locales:

NICMOS -> HERE

PERGAMON -> HERE

PLOTSPEC -> HERE

FLIGHT RULES -> Located on a bunch of weather/climate sites, none contain the Feb. 19th chart anymore.

The other 3 images are all ripped directly of the net and don't indicated a particular event but are demos.

EDIT - Biggety size URLs - I de-fatted them. - SG

Well based on googling the image file names, we worked out that each picture has something to do with weather - specifically Sun.

try sun.htm

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wrong answers. What are the numbers?

the top image is a sample "Plot Spec" from a piece of software called 'RADWARE' which measures Gamma Ray data.

The second image is an IFR VFR chart of Lake Eerie on the 19th of Feb, showing an averagely weathered day (the kind of day that you could fly by visual flight rules, OR instrumental flight rules, but they recommended instrumental flight rules).

The third image is a status analysis reporty thingy of a NICMOS (a superduper NEAR INFRARED c..m...o...s... that is used on the Hubble Telescope)

and the Fourth image is of a Talisman called the "Prognostikon" used by ancient people for divination - foretelling of future. possibly predicting weather perhaps?

(HUGE UPS to xmyth and Catherwood and SinVraal again for all that research - I coudln't POSSIBLY take the claim for all that!)

after a while there were a few of us left and xmyth discovered that on February 19th, there was a possible UFO sighting at Lake Eerie. It was later discovered that happened in 1915 :/

Also known as the "Pergamon Disc" or "Divining Disk of Pergamon"....found in 1899.

Also on THIS (I think original) there is a 10 to the 2 (which is missing from the soogees copy).

And on the soogees copy of THIS there is a 4 missing.

So 4_2_?

The disc looks like the sun symbol has been added.

There's a bright green viney thing down the middle of the picture on 432sun.htm that ISN"T in the original picture.

I'm trying to modify colours to see what it says - its a bit squiggly in places so it might be a word.

Can I send this to someone to host and post please?

Can you? I can't, I'm almost leaning towards that being Persian or something. it's too squiggly for Kanji - for example that giant S does nothing for the notion that it's Japanese, neither does that bit that looks like a giant Ohm symbol.

Xmythx: have you been able to modify the colour table to get a clearer view?

Catherwood's really good that that - if only she were here right now... *sigh*

and if only I had photoshop...!!!

[EDIT]: "Who's bright idea was this anyway" being the title, I tried simply brightening it, and it does make the words apparent, but not any clearer.

[EDIT #2] (so as not to triple post) - www.Omniglot.com reappears during another Google search for 'Arabic Alphabet': http://www.omniglot.com/writing/arabic.htm but I can barely see the script in the picture, so I'm not likely to be able to translate. Anyone read Arabic here?
