Can you? I can't, I'm almost leaning towards that being Persian or something. it's too squiggly for Kanji - for example that giant S does nothing for the notion that it's Japanese, neither does that bit that looks like a giant Ohm symbol.

Xmythx: have you been able to modify the colour table to get a clearer view?

Catherwood's really good that that - if only she were here right now... *sigh*

and if only I had photoshop...!!!

Yeah it's definitely Arabic, my first inclination. There's something about the Garden being Arabic too.

Yes I've modified the colour table, I have a nice black and white image of it now, can't upload anywhere tho. Someone wanna donate their server space? LoL.

Actually, I think it may be this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This seems to be text in the Vine alphabet.

I believe it should read:
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

edit: Tried http://www.soogees.com/vine.htm and got this message:
Yeah but who wrote the vine?
