Download mIRC, (www.mirc.com) follow help instructions, input details.

If you have a version of Trillian earlier than 3.0, then choose to log into IRC via the IRC button (pale blue swirl), and inputting the details below.

If you have Trillian Basic 3.0, go to Preferences -> Plugins and install the IRC plugin. It's automatically installed already, so just turn it on. Then input details.

DETAILS:

server: irc.chat-solutions.org

port: 6667 (in Trillian Basic 3.0, this must be written as "irc.chat-solutions.org:6667")

Type your preffered nickname in (what you'll be known as on the channel), the preffered user name (what people will see your personal info name as when they type in commans on IRC to find out a little more about you) and some personal info. I fill my personal info with my name, but then I'm on the verge of wearing tinfoil hats to keep them out of my mind. Hit connect.

Open up the status window through various menus depending on your connection program. Type in "/join #syzygy." With no full stop/period/whatever you wish to call it. The /join command enables you to join a chatroom, known as a channel, on a certain server. In this case, the server is "irc.chat-solutions.org" and the channel is "syzygy." Channels always are indicated by the # infront of them.

Thanks Alex. I know I didn't ask the question, but your answer helped me get IRC set up on Trillian. I think I had been forgetting the /join #syzygy command before. Thanks. Smile
