To answer a couple of points that I've missed with being waaaaay more busy at the weekend than I like to be: Obits in The Times (London) do run but are written by staff writers - not just the personal ones put in by family/friends that you get in local papers. If Zeller shows up there it means the PMs have got some serious reach.

Speaking of The Times, looks like I'll be reading it very carefully tomorrow but it doesn't arrive until after I leave for work so scans won't be up from me until around 7pm GMT. It also might be worth keeping a close eye out for anything in there written by David Rowan - he was the guy who wrote the original article on PPC in the Saturday Times Magazine that got me hooked (see the press thread).

Do you mean from a real, well, paper newspaper, not an online version, if so

YES PLEASE

sorry, they were the low res images (i nicked) from the pressdisplay site (although it was pointless to do so, because i could have registered easily to get the higher res ones)

Sente, Cube, Old Town, and any other related words I searched for are not in the online version, as i'm sure a lot of people who have looked already noticed.

If they have some serious reach then they probably are going to be worth more then the classified section, although i've looked at that part quite a bit.

One thing vhell pointed out is that there was a shoe ad, which could be something related (the shoe ad is for men), but that could be something that we could be missing. Some of the character build could interact.

But really, there may be nothing in this paper, and that could be the major hint that we were wasting too much time waiting for the paper, when the video actually meant something.. or we just have to wait for the next paper. (Shocked)

I'm curious why the real printed version would have something where the online version would not. Aren't the online versions just scanned from the printed?

Not always - sometimes online content has exclusive materials the print version doesn't, or vice versa. Print ads don't always make it into an online version, either, unless they're reproducing the page exactly as it appears in the print version.

Makes sense, perhaps that's the way to go. I've looked over the online version and seen a few "may be related" things, which really are totally unrelated.

I really think we need the "actual" paper. We have to "hold it in our hands".

Edit: Will our clue definitely be an Advert?

I've not got a copy of the paper in my hands.

Out of interest, has anyone done the crossword? Might be a long shot, but I haven't spotted anything so far.

not home

I am out of town and can't pick one up, but maybe bagsbee could find an actual hard copy of the New York Sun - it isn't the most popular paper and not always easy to find.

With Sarah Covingtons reference to "Civilisation and Late Stage Urbanisation, A Phase 2 Consumer Transition", and the video mention of "Culture shock", the blatent consumerism of the area that the video was taken, I think that consumerism is one of the major differences between us and them.

If so, the ad on page 13, top right, might be the *one*

"LOVE TO SHOP?
Pose as a customer at local retailers as a Mystery Shopper.
Make your own hours.
Training fee applies & must have Internet access.
Call Today! (800)-357-4252"

Mystery Shoppers are real - they check out levels of service etc. they *study* the level of performance.

Goolgling gets nothing on any of these

Can't find 357 as an area code, but in UK so don't know much about American numbers. Is there somewhere else I should be searching......

............ please could someone in the US phone & try the number.

Thanks
