w00t I finally convince some1 to contact teh NYSun and ask about a delay and it PAYS OFF.

I'd just like to say to all of us pouring over the 22nd paper for hours and hours in the wee hours of the morning (for me at least), sucks eh?

So now we know that there is a Classified Ad being placed tomorrow that will have reference to Perplex City. Easy enough to find, then?

And what's the betting that after all this, it will be identical to the crappy thing that was in USA Today? Laughing

Exactly what I thought! Combining all the text underneath the classifieds's header from each newspaper will result in some sort of clue, or at least a message.

Smile!

Looks like we need the start (and remainder) of the sentence from other ads...

...but London beat the NY Sun to the punch.

Let the wild speculation begin! (sorry.)

Oooh. Hidden messages! Now we just need the NYSun paper, to figure out what the in-between part is!

[Spec] Theivery

Wild. Combined this with the errorlong and I have my first bit of Spec.

It's likely, then, that this was an inside job to get past the security. As Gatehouse 24 (likely a security checkpoint) was checking everything that came in or out of the area (on an emotional as well as physical level), someone would need to be good at concealing emotions. Sarah Covington was harassed on the error log for not shutting down the equipment properly; maybe this "equipment" failure may have been part of the breakdown of security around the Cube?

Ooooh, Spec is fun.

i think that a pattern will emerge from the papers which will lead us to othe papers and dates. I havn't tried any maths on the dates yet though, so can't say if they form a geometric or arithmetric progression yet.

all this talk of curtains etc suggest to me the following. with use of the XXXXX cube, people of another world/dimension/time are able to observe our world, hence how they can draw parallels to our lives and their counterparts etc. Considering this, perhaps the quote of S Marchant about not trusting his own eyes, and wanting to hold it in his bare hands are his way of saying that he wants to experience our world. Has he brought the cube into our world, to visist it?

Now consider the fragments of information we are receiveing, the post card, the adverts - maybe they are only able to affect things in our world minutely. perhaps the loss of the cube means they are able to effect/view our world even less. why not finish the sentence in the times, other than the fact that they run out of time?

just my ramblings i'm afraid at the moment, but this is how i'm thinking presently. OOG spreading the adverts around the world means that alot of people are having to cooperate to get all of the adds, the whole point of most argn's i think.

did anyone else notice in the gatehouse logs that on the badge validation line, // badge query { mendling, f {489ae} }

different names had different codes, something to keep an eye on i think.

We don't know what it means yet, but the difference in codes has been noted on the wiki.

did anyone....

......actually get a paper copy of the NY Sun? Did anyone check the classifieds. Since we have now got the USA Today add and the Times add, I cannot believe that there wasn't an add run in the NY Sun.

It will be annoying if noone managed to get hold of this paper.

As for Presidents Day I'm guessing this means that the date for classified submission changed from the 22nd to the 23rd, and not the date the adds were run. the add would have to have been placed the week before or so anyway.
