and it seems that Ecc and Him (her husband, the father of Syn?) have made some pact with the devil (recurring theme in ARGs, see Sable+Shuck).

We should find out why and what would be the power of Syn that she is so important for the devil. I doubt, however, if we could learn that from e-mailing Ecc or from chatting with Syn. Was the deal accomplished because it was the only way to save Syn's life? Seems plausible, but not enough for the heavy task that was laid upon Ecc's shoulders.

Further, somewhere along the way, Ecc repented, since nowadays she is crying to the Lord to forgive her. Would that be the moment that Ecc and Him broke up? IMHO it should be the focus to determine why Ecc now regrets her initial steps, what has cuased her to change her mind. I suppose that's easier to find out than why she initially cooperated with the devil.

 		I really don't think it's meant as the actual devil (although I guess it's possible). I suspect it's Clea's boss, or some other higher-up. With the new log, I'm also thinking that Clea isn't at all related to Syn, but I'll take that on over to the spec thread...

I don't think it would be the Devil either, because he (she?) says '... I will be so famous, and so will you.' The Devil is pretty famous already, so... umm... yeah...

I've been away and am just now catching up on this one, so I apologize if this was already mentioned in chat, although I haven't seen it mentioned here yet (although with the high page counts in multiple threads I could have missed it, so feel free to trout if necessary Razz ).

The movie is based on the comic book Hellblazer which has been around for quite awhile. So it's possible that the PM could have been doing a fanfic based on the comic, knowing that the movie was coming out around this time. I haven't read more than an issue or two so I can't really tell you if it's really all that related. The first issue is available on the Vertigo site and there are some summaries available. At first glance they don't see to fit this ARG's subject matter so far, but I really just skimmed them. The little I know about John Constantine is from his appearance in the Sandman series, which isn't much help.

If this isn't connected in any way to the comic or movie, it did strike me as a little odd to see the pic of Keanu Reeves and the reference to the movie. Everything seemed so mysterious and other-worldly it ....just...seemed...odd, I guess. Otherwise, this is looking like an interesting premise for an ARG. I wish I had been around since the beginning. Hopefully I can keep up!

 		No sweat, Russel. At least the game is moving ahead at a straight line pace with excellent story and puzzle work.

So far, the /hiker puzzle is not solved. There is enough things not correct that it appears to be a depper level of meaning. Means to thinjk aoutside the box.
