is that a serious quote from a pm? are pm's even allowed to post notes on a forum?

i'm confused!

also, just noticed, would a pm really spell 'disregard' incorrectly?

Yes. It is.

Sure, there's really nothing stopping them, as long as it's out-of-game... And that'd just be here.
I mean, for something like this, it's definitely neccessary. It's mostly just frowned upon because it pulls back the "curtain", but he(she?) signed on as a guest, so we still don't know who he(she?) is.

Code:
if (PM == omniscient) {
     return "The PM is omniscient."
} else {
     return "The PM is NOT omniscient."
}

output:
The PM is NOT omniscient.

Just because he's(she's?) making one VERY awesome game, it does not mean that he(she?) spells perfectly.

Actually, you are incorrect. It's against the rules for PMs to post here in discussions of their own ongoing games, regardless of whether they are posting in-game or out-of-game. Of course, they are still welcome to post in other areas of the forums as long as they don't create multiple identities to do so.

Er, sorry, that is actually what I meant, but looking back at my post it doesn't really look that way...

When I said out-of-game, I meant out of the game entirely, and then the signing on as a guest thing was a completely different thought...

Within rules or not, I can fully understand a PM coming here and saying "that is not a public number, take it down"

Most PMs have enough wherewithal to contact the appropriate moderators or admins to have this done without coming out from behind the curtain or abusing the forum (yes, this has happened before on occasion - cf. the prop guy's cell phone mistake in Regenesis for a recent example). It's quite a bit more effective in terms of response time and precluding all those posts from players going, "Hey, is that really the PM? Maybe it's a trick or part of the puzzle!" If PMs wish to post alongside their players, they are free to do so at those forums that invite such interaction. This is not one of those forums.
