if it is binary, the first number is 8 and the one up now is 6.

Perhaps the 6 then 8 is a completion of the infinity sign, just as it is a completion of project syzygy. And is anyone else wondering about the hidden 'S' on the syzygy website, and then that the cache files of the academy are parts of 'E'. Will we have 'Sente' by the end of the pregames. Or perhaps they should be read together: S6 E8 may be coords. that will come into play further down the rabbit hole.
