EMAIL: Dale to Meet Sal

Hi Sally,
How are you? It's been a while since I heard from you and way too long since I
wrote to you. I know it's going to sound like I am making excuses but sometimes it's
just hard to stay in touch with everyone and on top of everything, especially when
I don't feel as if I have anything new or concrete to share with anybody. It's really
frustrating sometimes too, knowing there are so many people willing and trying to
help me and not being able to help myself in any way.

Still, I need to stay in touch with everyone more consistently, especially now
that so much seems to be happening at once. I'm supposed to be appearing before the
Marzano Grand Jury in the next day or so, maybe even today but I think that's doubtful.
I'm still not sure exactly what I am going to be asked or say, but hopefully I'll
be able to restrict it to my knowledge of their involvement in Library project. I
honestly don't know of anything they did illegal or improper in regards to that,
even though others were much more involved in that than me. I really don't want to
get into the other things I know about the Marzano's though. That's a Pandora's box
I just can't afford to open right now.

Speaking of the Marzano's, I'm getting worried about Sal, the youngest Marzano
son. I don't know if you know it but he's been contacting me somewhat secretly, using
encoded e-mails to send me short messages. I've contacted him a few times but have
been real hesitant because of the investigation and everything going on. His last
message though seemed almost desperate and suggested he may be thinking of
testifying against his own family, which is hard for me to believe, considering the
possible consequences to everyone involved. I realize it's risky and probably a little crazy
but I think I am going to meet him somewhere briefly and see exactly what's going
on. I'll keep you posted.

I have to go since I have a lot of e-mails yet to write. I'm going to try very
hard to stay in touch more consistently from here on, but please be
understanding if you don't get an immediate response to your e-mails.
