Solve:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It refers to a QWERTY keyboard. The blue keys mean which row, and the white keys mean which key on that row, so a blue 1 followed by a white 3 would mean E.

It comes out as
YOUR
SOUL

Blank web page there, though. There might be something else or it might not be updated yet.

EDIT: Now up.

The last bit continues to crack me up, but the first part? Plague references creep me out entirely too much. Possibly because I read Connie Willis' Doomsday Book, which made me cry uncontrollably. I vote for no plague for our Wiskie friend.

Also, I'm leaning more and more towards thinking that Nonamie (I forget who said that, but I love it) is Eccleastia. It would make sense for her to abandon her old name, along with its connotations of firm beliefs and traditions. She's changing, and her name should change, because it no longer accurately represents her and she doesn't yet know what does.

nice puzzle, good solve. yeah the last bit is very funny! im thinking yes for plague. Possibly, a plague that led to desperate measures to find a cure, but has led to much much more. also, the friend does seem like eccle hesitant about saying "quack", but doing so, cos thats her job

Omnie:agreed there. Ecce is quite different in emails to us these days. She is integrating a gentler personality into herself I guess.

also one thing, evidently, the chat seems to ALWAYS hold a clue to the type of puzzle going in later on the night, it being the subject that makes no sense, such as the talking about pushing buttons from last night before the puzzle. So any such anomalies in the chat definitely need to be the touchstone for clues.

I'll take a pass on the late-night stuff. I start my new job Monday at 7am. Yeesh. I think they hate me.

Moving on ... great solve. Good posting.

actually the idea that ring around the rosie is about the black plague is a huge urban legend

http://www.snopes.com/language/literary/rosie.htm

but its widespread enough that I could see the PM using it as a reference to the plague.
