The names?

I don't think it came up anywhere yet, but have you guys considered the meaning behind their names?

Synagoga - greek for assembly or meeting, something that brings 'people' together
Ecclesiastes - greek for preacher, the one who guides

I think we've been asking the wrong questions to Ms E? It is not now the questions she giveth, but the guidance?

Anyway, I'll find out if I get a reply from her.

another thing, the "two-headed"ness mentioned before reminds me more of Walter Miller's story, which was quite religiously oriented as well
I'm refering to The Canticle for Leibowitz

there was a mutated character, a girl with two heads, one was only developing. At the end of the story (I don't remember the details), the sleeping head awakes and the awaken head dies. The awakened head had some kind of super powers, was basically a jesus like figure as I remember it.
more info here (her name was Rachel):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Canticle_for_Leibowitz

she was a bit retarded if I remember correctly and was also a weirdo...Syn style

reminds me of that excelent satrirical film "how to get a-head in advertising"
the smaller (starts off as a boil) head overwhelms the rational head

however, i think its clearer now, that ecc is separate from syn. Also, earlier posts ties ecclesiasta with the Church and Synagoga with the Jews - see the pictures. basically church portrayed blinded synagoga cos syn killed jesus
