So, I went for a walk to see if I could find the buildings Wink,

I realise that even if we did find the building it probably wouldn't effect the game at all, however I finished work early the other day and coudn't resist. The area I ended up in was actually White City and if you look westwards there is an uncanny resemblance to the buildings in question. Unfortunatly I didn't have my camera on me to take pics, and it was hard for me to get a decent view, so all my views were from the ground Sad The oddest thing about my excursion though was that the place where i thought most likely that the pic was taken from was right outside one of the BBC buildings. Hugely speculative but imagine if they were a sponser Shocked Anyway take this post with a pinch of salt please, I don't think its too important but I had a laugh having a snoop round trying not to look like a terrorist Laughing If any of you guys are in that area look west and you will see what I mean.....

If the BBC were a sponsor surely everyone in the UK with a tv license could demand the start of this ARG as we'd be the ones technically paying

You have to admit though, for your license fee it's great improvement on home make-over shows.

tbh having my eyes removed by a biro pen would be an improvement on the likes of changing rooms

Maybe we're all "internet housemates" in a BBC version of big brother and people will all be watching us try to solve non-existant puzzles. Now *that* would be worth my fee - wait, damnit, I'm here... I don't get to watch.

On a more serious note... Are you sure that outside the BBC looks like that? I've got a couple of friends who work there and on showing them the picture it rang no bells - then again, maybe the time of say that they normally view it at could change it quite a lot.

There are a lot of BBC Buildings, but if you look east (sorry not west as I previously said) towards shepards bush and the white city tube staton, you can see a lot of similar buildings. Have to be quite high though... Rolling Eyes

Image topleft of indexB, is, ( I reckon ) Liverpool.

I clearly see St. Johns Beacon and Paddys Wigwam next to each other in the skyline.

I think it's taken from flats in Everton as it misses the other cathedral out.

I still think London is seriously important for us though.

TBH I don't think the photo of the skyline is meant to be narrowed down to anything at all.

Well, maybe not narrowed down to exactly where the photo was taken. It still might be trying to communicate something.

Either way, yeh, I think London's going to turn out something for us eventually.

Beano,

can you indicate which bit of the skyline is the wigwam, cos I can't make it out (old eyes though)? Smile

Beano if its taken from the flats at everton we should be able to see the royal on it too as thats a stones throw from the cathedral. Should also probably see the UofL physics building because thats like 10 storeys high and more or less right next to the cathedral. I dont think that theres enough high rise buildings for it to be liverpool.

Also from that angle shouldnt the st johns tower be on the other side of the cathedral?

ok so since my last post I have been into Liverpool for a lecture that wasnt on and whilst on my way in and out of the city I was looking at the skyline etc.

It could be Liverpool but instead of being taken at the flats in Everton I think it was taken at the flats in Childwell. Would explain why other buildings aren't present and would have the cathedral and st Johns in the right place.

simple fiddling with levels (apologies if its been posted before) but it gives a better view of the view. theres a triangular building infront of the balcony with a tube on top (metal) - the tower blocks have more distance now too, and a rather odd looking object, bottom left....

ok, being a little silly.

I don't think, however, we are supposed to fFind these locations and derive some answers fFrom them. It's a little glimpse into the city we are trying to help.

tho, it's fFun enough to be shown a picture and identify its location. but don't confuse the two games. I dont think they are directly relevant to each other.
