InspJJ, I can't help thinking that your firebox cube's novelty has worn off?

Back to Gibson again, Cayce got something from the footage, an electronic watermark or similar, which led them to the holy grail (sorry, different ARG) they were after. Will find ref and get someone clever enough to know how to do it, to do it, as it were.

Don't have my copy of the book to hand right now but I believe that it was the Mystic 'wonks' (heh, must use that word more....) from Japan who found data (numbers and a map) in a whiteout from one of the scenes (quite how you hide data in an all-white image is beyond me, but I digress) and then Cayce took it to some former GCHQ spook guy who got some old contact to decrypt and get the Russian email address.

Soooo, anyone know any professional cryptanalysts with access to a supercomputer or two?

Funnily enough, if you put the magnet under a bottle of cheapish wine for a day or two it tastes like something much more expensive - don't ask me why I tried this, bit it beats the hell out of looking at it sticking stuff to the fridge....

I was just thinking, (please forgive the recap of events I am sure you all already know) in the original video, Feb23, London Times, was the last newspaper before a series of blanks. On the 23 it was updated providing us with Feb 28ths Sydney daily telegraph and March 5ths Toronto globe and mail. However, there was still a blank spot for a newspaper in between. Now, I have recently checked the vid again and that blank is still there, indicating to me, that either something important may happen between Feb 28 and Mar 5 that may not necessarily be a newspaper. Or It just hasent been updated yet Smile . I guess we will see soon.

It's up here - cheers to zeldafan

It's not in the least bit cheesy I'm afraid Salkunh - it's actually a rather interesting comparison of the two different videos. Still, I'm sure the cheese will follow....

Phone #

Not sure if it has been talked about or spec'd but has anyone noticed the telephone numbers on the storefront in the video? It occurs when the camera shifts to look at the buildings on the left and you will see two phone numbers on a red store front.

A couple of passes it looks like either:

03-3506-9623 or 03-3566-9623

just trying to pick at every little thing. haha while it might not get us any closer it might just re-assure that the video is shot in Shinjuku where we are thinking. Buuut my eyes hurt from staring at the computer all day, be back lattaaa

I think we did notice the phone numbers, but never called because none of us spoke fluent Japanese. I highly suspect that the shop is OOG, but that's only an opinion.

Edit: Interesting flash movie. Thanks for making it.

Darkfall,

maybe the extra ones are there as they didn't know how many ads they'd have to split the message into, or perhaps are being reserved in case of another "Perlplexcity" assuming that was from the PMs? Smile

I also noticed that the New York sun ad, which had to be published on the 22nd (as seen on the second movie) has been postponed to the 23rd to make it fit with the actual reality of things (you found it on the 23rd, right?).

either 'La Presse' Canada or 'La Presse' Tunisia.

Personally, I'm hoping Canada Smile but the site seems down to me at the moment.
