I'm not sure there would be a connection... S. Marchant was first found somewhere around here , and, as far as I recall, decided to be out of game. "Furniture" turns out to be a synonim for "spacer" in some obscure web design slang.

Oh sorry... wasn't aware. Kinda new to this-- ok really new to this, and just trying to pick up any of the obvious threads that may have been dropped.... one never knows.

[Spec] Sente Kiteway Now we've got a full name...
Remains androgynous
Googling brings nothing together, but Kiteway on it's own is there as www.kiteway.com (which keeps timing out on me) and is mentioned in a short story http://tinyurl.com/5gzxc (which is a bit intense)
There's an oriental feel to things coming through what do you think?
[edit] kiteway station mentioned in the post seems to be fictional as far as googles concerned

The www.kiteway.com site is almost certainly oog methinks. Got it to load via cashe and it has a 2003-2004 copywrite.
Yeh, there isn't much found on Kiteway with google. A good thing if you ask me as we only have to rule out so many things.
A few anagrams of Kiteway, just for kicks:
A Key Wit
Wait Key

Must say I'm baffled by this whole Kiteway thing, and where on earth [in Perplex City] it came from. I'm going to move these posts to the main SPEC thread since they don't seem worthy of their own one.

[Edit - My BAD! I hadn't read about the French ad before posting this! *blushes*. I'll try harder next time ;)]

Sorry Fi
www.chrisamies.com has the reference to Kiteway as a station in a short story written in 1988 called Terminal Velocity. The site itself seems OOG to me, but he has written lots of pub reviews, perhaps The XXXX Cube is a pub? That would be nice.

ok ok ok
I know we are all thinking it, leave it to the dumb trout to say it though:
If Sente is Kiteway then who is S. Marchant? One and the same? Or two different people?
The plot thickens
do do do do

So my wife says, "YOU ENTERED YOU EMAIL ADDRESS IN THAT SITE?? HAVE YOU EVER SEEN "THE GAME" WITH THAT DOUGLAS GUY?!?!

I thought we all knew S. Marchant and Sente were two different people. Marchant never gave that 'I'm the head of PPC.com' feel.
*eyeshift*
Either way, this is probably the 'end of the messege' as far as the ads making up one big messege, but there is the possibility it isn't. Just pointing that out.

Well FWIW, http://www.sente.com (or any .net, .co.uk, etc. derivatives) isn't in game so I see no reason to assume kiteway.com is either. Especially since it doesn't seem to want to load anyway.

Just a thought...
somebody use Photoshop and take out the black box on the letter on the main perplexcity site yet? people use photoshop all the time to uncensor copywritten pics on the internet...
The point I'm getting at with this... what's the full name of the cube? It has a full name, every time "the cube" is mentioned it has a blank or a mark-out... but what is it?
