Just a huge 'hope' here, but could the 24 char numeric string be pager code?

try here

but that's just a wild thought.
give it a shot though

To TheBruce...

Better late than never, and posted publically to negate any suggestion of cheek, my remark was in awe of your numerical gymnastic ability, not a mockery of it. I can't add up with a calculator, so glad to have you on our side. Very Happy all the way!!!

Cheers

New Thought...

Sorry if someone had this thought....feel free to kick me or do whatever you prefer if it is.

At any rate, I've been stuck on this 24 digit code thing for awhile now (ok, not as long as others, I just joined today), and here are my thoughts:

24 digit code
Project Syzygy is called in the cache files Project 24
There is a Gatehouse 24 (presumably an entrancefor Syzygy personnel at the Academy), as well as a Gatehouse 12 (which is the public entrance)
If you count the letters in the combined phrases projectsyzygyperplexcity/perplexcityprojectsyzygy you get....yep, 24.

Can someone pls figure this out!!!! I'm going on leave tonight (will check Seattle and Los Angeles Airports for postcards, lol), and I'll try and work on this while away.

Perhaps there is a shifting vingere cipher in use here...or a matrix of some kind....but that's just way too many coincidences for the code to be random.

Even the 'simplest' of steps can be very important in an ARG, so don't hesitate to contribute as much as you can!

I'll follow it up with a simple offering of my own: that outline looks like if it is put on top of some text, it may outline a phrase.

I didn't exactly know where to post this so here goes

Ok maybe I'm seeing things where there is nothing but I have to say this is weird.
I googled (as others have done) perplexcity academy gift shop and came across a link http://www.allnewyorkinfo.com/city-breaks-new-york.html which I opened in a new browser searched the word perplexcity on the page it took me to a paragraph in the page that quickly disapeared and the page size was reduced by at least half I view the source and it did not contain the the refrence,,
I refreshed the page but the info did not reapear.
I then closed the browser and once again opened the google link in a new browser and copied the source before it once again disapeared I found the missing refrence in the source file. It dosen't seem earth shattering or anything but there is a lot of other text as well. It was just a strange occurence so I thought I would share it

yeah, I came across this site a couple of weeks ago, it seems as thugh a blog exists on that page, or used to exist..something along those lines...and while the page is loading, that blog is visible, but disappears once the page is done loading...

the only weird thing is, why does a blog exists there...that page seems more like a "search engine" page rather than anything else...weird...

Hey, join the crowd!

I didn't want to post until I had done something no one else had tried yet (even if it didn't work Wink )!

Anyway, I tried converting the right and left turns into binary, and came up with:

rlllrrrr lllrlrrl rrllllrr rrrlll

It doesn't break down evenly, since there's only six in the last one, so I tried adding both 1s or 0s to either end, to represent the start of the maze.

Any way I put it in, though, all I got was gibberish. Forwards, backwards, switching r=0 to r=1, etc.

Well, at least no one else has to waste any time on it being binary. Razz

Hmm... The maze... It could of course just be a PPC postage mark, as mentioned when it first got discovered.

(Gave a little cheer when I saw your avatar aleph13, yet another HSR fan amongst our ranks! Very Happy )

Just a quick reminder for those of you new to all this - firstly The Wiki has details of pretty much everything we've already tried on that long number. And if you search back in this thread, starting around about here I think, you'll find info about a lot of ways of interpreting the maze that we've already tried.

We need your brains to attack new stuff rather than duplicating work we've already done Very Happy .
