Iris goes to Lake of Tears

Hello,

Today Chris, James and I went out to the Lake of Tears. We asked Phyllis to gowith us during the morning, but she said she wanted to do some things around the house. I was surprised when she declined, what with her seeming need to be involved in everything at all times.

I have to tell you that while this is a place full of beauty, it is not a
place I would choose to visit often. James and Chris took the chore of
interviewing all those who were utilizing the area while I looked around. I found myself at the edge of the lake and began to feel the strangest sensations. Now, mind you, I know all about what happened there with the Lanape Indians, since my handyman, Corky, is a Lanape. Sadness and loss fill the area, as if the pain of those who suffered here has been permanently etched into the landscape. I could almost feel myself being thrown into the water and could only imagine the unbearable terror
and heartbreak those children felt as they slowly sank to the bottom of the lake, the cold and lack of oxygen quickly separating spirit from body but not spirit from lake.

I had to sit down at this point. All of those lives ended needlessly or at
least needlessly by our modern morals and standards. I wanted to reach into the lake and pull them out so that they could feel the love and security I knew while growing up. It breaks my heart even now to know how their lives ended at the hands of those they loved and trusted.

I was trying to settle my nerves when I noticed someone walking along the edge of the lake where there had been no one a moment before. As I watched I saw it was a woman with dark hair and dark clothes but she was too far away for me to see her face or guess her age clearly. She was walking along the edge of a lake, though I suddenly noticed that the grass and bushes along the shore had changed. She was carrying a small bundle with her and she eventually sat along the edge of the lake
and opened the bundle. Though I am not sure due to the distance, I think she brought out a small sketch pad and pencils and settled them in her lap. As I watched, the woman sat with her eyes closed for a fairly long period of time and then began to draw. I arose and slowly moved around the lake, taking care not to fall in as I didn't know if I would awaken in time to save myself. As I neared I was able to see what she was drawing. The picture took shape quickly and was at first just an outstretched
arm that seemed to be straining from the edge of the picture towards the center. Next she added a hand which was the only thing left sticking up from the lake's surface, but it appeared to be sinking as the arm reached for it. The hand sinking into the lake had six-fingers. As I watched, the woman's drawing almost seemed to come to life, and the six-fingered hand slowly sank below the lake's surface, just out of reach of the outstretched arm.

By this time Chris and James had found me and I awoke to find them watching me as I stared off into space. They had not been able to find anyone who had seen anything unusual, though of course everyone knew a friend of a friend who had. We decided to call it a day and go back into town to eat, take a break and pick up some equipment from the Willingham house. The boys thought this spot should be rife with activity.

When we returned to the Lake in the evening, we convinced Phyllis to come out with us. I think it does the woman good to get away from that house of hers and into the open air. We arrived around dusk and began to unload cameras, EM equipment and so on. There were far fewer people around than earlier in the day, just a group or two here and there as well as a few fishermen in boats out on the water. At first I could not pick up even the faintest of impressions and we decided to just scout out a good location to set up the equipment and wait for night to fall. The boys
had seen a fairly secluded spot earlier in the day, so we set up everything there and settled in. Phyllis began to tell me about her thoughts and feelings and I will admit that discussing her marriage made me uncomfortable. I have never been married and could not relate to what she was saying.

As Phyllis tried to suck us into conversation in between the periods of
awkward silence, I again felt the sadness from earlier, but there was also something else, a darkness or shadow that was not there before. It felt as if it was buried deep within the lake or perhaps below the earth. I could hear Chris and James reacting as the EM sensors began to pick up small abnormalities in the area. Time passed and it finally got very dark, the only light visible was emanating from the equipment. Tonight the sky was very overcast. No stars were visible and the moon was so muted
by the cloud cover as to be virtually invisible. Lights could be seen moving here and there along the lake as well as in the parking lot.

I think Phyllis was bored because she kept shifting and sighing and finally she rose to her feet and walked a few steps to look at something or other. As I watched her, I got the dizzying sensation of being in two places at one time and looked back toward the lake. This vision started with a couple of dark figures moving at the edge of the water. I could tell it was not the same night because the sky was full of stars and the moon was shining brightly overhead. As I watched, the men struggled
towards the edge of the lake, carrying a heavy burden between them. One of them kept looking around as they moved, turning his head this way and that. When they got to the edge they start to sway in rhythm before suddenly heaving the bundle into the lake. I had to bite my lip to keep from crying out when I realized that the bundle was man shaped, though wrapped in some kind of covering. I heard one voice say, "You
sure that's deep enough there? Maybe we should get a boat or . . . ." Another voice answered, "Relax, man. You think I'm stupid or sumthin? This is a crater lake, man, and that's a deep spot there. Now let's get the hell out of here."

I heard the boys shout, "Whoa! Look at this reading!" and then, "No! Look at that!" I turned to see Chris pointing out above the lake where strange white lights were flashing. I yelled at them to get the camera running and James fumbled for a moment before focusing on the lights. After a few moments the lights disappeared. James thinks he got some good shots of the light show, and I will try to get them onto my web site soon if any of it is usable.

Whew! I am sorry this is so long. I trust you are all well. Take care.

Iris

FIINALLY I see what the imagery is referring too. Since the game started I have been looking for the meaning from the images at the initial CTW website....

Do you suppose this is where it all began?
We are looking at a turning point here I think

Spec regarding Iris vision at Lake of tears

This is what could have happened. maybe Digitalis was doing some palm reading at AGP and he ran afoul of the local toughs. They took him out to the lake of tears and threw him in the devils hole. Sarah was there when it happened and she tried to rescue Digitalis......

What exactly was digitalis and Sarahs relationship

Ok one more thing. What was Sarahs relationship with digitalis anyway?
She thought of him enough to do a statue of him that took her a period of years to accomplish. The statue infers that she knew a great deal about him if in fact it is him. Also there is a great energy that eminates from it according to Iris. Trust me...an artist does not put that much into something unless it means a great deal to them.

That is great spec Sunny but I don't think the statue is of Digitalis. Even Phyllis says it isn't Digitalis in her response to Valas. But I love the tie in to the image on the CTW website and the story of a six fingered man (guide) being thrown in the lake. I think you're right about a turning point.

Observation, there's no indication that the second vision that Iris had, shows Digitalis being tossed into the drink.

Remember AGP the cemetery?? Seisdesos?? How did he come to his end??
Additionally, for some reason the two men doing the tossing remind me of the Gruesome Twosome.. Maybe this is an event yet to come??

Who the target will be, who's going to feed the fishes, is something we'd need to discover then.

Get ya red-hot spec here...red-hot spec... Very Happy

I'm beginning to think that the lake may be a portal between the two worlds (in fact I think others have mentioned this earlier on). Think of Artherian legend, Lady of the Lake, her hand rising from the waters to present Excalibur. Other's more versed in this lore can confirm, but was she a fairy queen? Sara's drawing could have depicted Digitalis sinking into the waters and slipping from "his" world to ours. Many have mentioned that the lake isn't fed by any known source of river or stream. What if it's fed from the Avalon dimension?

As for Iris' late-night vision...as I read it I keep thinking of the Marzano boys. I can only imagine what would be found if they dreged that lake! Who was in that bundle? I don't know. Wes (before his journey to "the other side")? Digitalis? Dale?! Shocked

Thoughts?

I have a sneaking suspicion that Wes may be even deepr involved than we may currently think. Sam has helped Dale as much as humanly possible, but Wes, Wes was the one to go with Dale on the excursion to {cue creepy music and echo effect} The Other Side (tm).
Spec: Wes may be the "guide" left to help guide Sarah (and Dale)?

And remember Iris said that there is a Portal of some kind in Phyllis' upstairs bathroom.... maybe it is shifting out of place?
