Fanboy here. Very Happy That was its project name and they ended up just using it for its official name.

I may be repeating-- kinda new to this... but i have tried camoflouge with all permutations of the postcard number I could think of, fragments thereof, and codes thereof... bin, hex, oct... basic ROT, etc. Am I missing somthing, or has someone else tried these permutations already.. Now, per the email thread, I have not tried something simple like typing in that number string backwards, or something stupid....

Like I said new to this... this is my first ARG...but not completely clueless on crypto... so shouldn't be too much of an idiot in this... then again you all have been at this longer than I have... but my interest is peaked and will be following along if not participating fully.

Thanks,

Best place to check if you're repeating something is The Wiki - lots of different permutations tried but IIRC that image wasn't really giving us a result with Stegdetect so we gave up looking for steganographic content.

Lower Right Image Corrected

I really doubt it will help anthing at this point, but I'm not much of a CS-whiz, so I did what I know how to do. I used photoshop to perspective-correct the image of the letter shown at an extreme angle in the lower right hand corner of pp7.jpg

Check it out here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/idfuel/5715894/

You can see the stuff that was in the background of the image (maybe on the table next to the letter?) now a little better.

I don't have any idea Smile

Nifty trick, but I think it can be made out better in the original that the letter is next to the £50 note...and on a tangent looks to be the same table as the crumpled note was on for the Firebox ad and the video. Smile

hey sorry if this is a bit off topic but i dont really know where else to post this... anyways i was mulling over that quote that you reach by the black square on the six photo page, and i was thinking, is it possible that theres a code somewhere that you could use along with that quote to see what the blacked out word is? why else would it be a link from that square? also, i noticed it sais "148 AC"... ?! is this some abbreviation i dont know of or a typo?

[EDIT: I moved this from here, as it seems that this is where most of the questions about the blacked out Cube word are congregated. yanka]

We were thinking that it was a date, like 2005 AD. There was some spec that AC meant After Cube. Or it could just be a typo - it's not yet clear.

Interesting idea on the code for the blacked out word. Not quite sure how this would work, but it's the right sort of thinking.

This is my interpretation of this puzzle. Random pictures are there for a reason. I highly doubt this puzzle has anything to do with stegging. As for the 50 pounds.. I would say it isn't actually 50 pounds but a piece from the passport that can be viewed at http://www.projectsyzygy.com/

passport = authentication.

So we could assume that a login consisting of 'sente' as a username and the clue for the password been given in the last image.

The first two images are a little tricky. I am going with the 'view' idea that was mentioned previously and that we must view something - A domain or website. The next image has an address, so this could mean view a web address or the web address could have something to do with the address on the letter or a sub domain of perplexcity.com. The third image could be further directories within the url or it could be that they are the url.

So all in all. I believe it to be pointing to a url that requires authenication to log into. The username being sente.

Also, to get to this page you must click on the logo for The perplex City Academy. So perhap's it relates to the Academy? (http://www.perplexcityacademy.com) which is coming soon..

No, sorry; it's definitely a £50 note, not a passport. There's tons of discussion of the £50 on this forum and links to pictures - search is your friend. As for the passport, just been looking for images of a UK passport stamp page and found this page with lots of stamped pages from a UK passport (which I have a sneaking suspicion may be illegal to reproduce.....). Strangely, it doesn't quite seem to match the passport in the projectsyzygy.com image so perhaps that isn't a British passport at all. Still, the £50 and the passport are definitely different objects.

the wiki has a comparison of the note and a £50 note and you can clearly see they are the same.

Image findings.

I think I have noticed some things in the pp7.jpg image. One very interesting thing that I had not noticed being posted yet.

See:

#1) The sub-image (2 of 6) is not the same as the Letter by Sente. It appears to be a business card, or perhaps a cube shape itself. Note the placement of the address in relation to what appears to be the wax seal/spot. On this image it seems that this is not wax, but an oval or circle of printed ink - possibly another logo.

#2) I read something about the lower-right corner of an image and have not been able to Search and find that post, but I see what I think is an elbow of a jacket in the corner. Additionally there is what appears to be one or two boxes on the balcony.

#3) The balcony ceiling has the same gridlike structure as the image we see at syzygy.com. The scale is different perhaps, but unusual that they be of the same pattern.

Might not be that the scale is different, it could be a higher floor of the same building in the image of the city scape. Definitely maybe the same place!!! Nice one Wink

You ask in your link if the cityscape has been identified, and it has:

This should really go on the Wiki. (EDIT: Added.)

I manipulated the wax seal image and it appears to be just that. Shows an "S" in the seal which I think has been spec'd before. Didn't see anything more interesting here...

You're totally right. It looked so much different earlier and I am simply WRONG! It's the grain of the wood I guess.

I didn't get the "s" in the seal, but I did rotate the canvas and the two images lined up perfectly (IMHO) without any resizing.

Its only spec that its Liverpool it hasnt been confirmed that it is and I personally still doubt that it is

Dont put things on the wiki as fact unless we are totally sure that they are. Post it as spec just as you do here
