 		the problem is the missing string doesnt spell out older or younger... all the other strings come out with word or part of words that can be deciphered, those 6 letters doent come out as anything i can recognise.

 		problem is in that spot a lot of things can fit in... might be someones name.

I say we call the all of the message decoded except for that part.... just not sure if that was a typo or if its something we just dont recognise yet.

 		Bad journal software
Here is something interesting I picked up on.

Also, Hanna spells her name as Hannah in her first post, but it is probably a typo.

EDIT: I now see that they also have a mention of dates being wrong on the Sentinel as well, and those years are off. I guess they expected the dates to be posted wrong on Hanna's site as well, but since you don't see years in the header, maybe it turned out okay. I was curious as first because she said the year would be wrong, but the year was listed as 2080. So there is no connection here.

I didn't see this on this forum, so I'll post it here, but it was probably already discussed on IRC since the header for the room includes this line:

No one was around to answer me at the time, but it got my brain on track to make heads or tails from this statement:

"I hope you little girls are prepared to lose some seed stock tonight. I'M feeling good tonight!"

Which came from Max Eaton, of course it was garbled as already discussed. There is a research project on alternate food sources dealing with hydroponics, so that project seems a likely target for someone intent on stealing some seeds. I wonder if the original text Max tried to post said anything along these lines.

And perhaps whoever is willing to steal seeds from a lab is also found of grafitti. There is obviously a criminal element aboard the Ares station, but who or what is not clear.

 		I didn't know that seeds were stolen. But if they were, did it happen before or after Jacob went missing? could he still be hiding out on the station and stealing seeds for some reason?

First, this sounds to me like heckling between friends over a game of some kind. Based on the new text which mentions Louis folding, poker seems the obvious choice. So Max and his buddies get together and play poker for seed stock. But I don't think he's talking about plant seeds. The title of the first garbled post is "Crystal", and in the "Science Update" post Max wrote:

Especially the kinds that we can only find out here. If you find anything pure, see me personally. We will pay above normal AIB price for it.


So, it appears that seed crystals are an important commodity on the station, which Max and Louis and their buddies use as stakes in their poker games.

Garith Yung just posted a new message on The Sentinel.

He said he was going to Meditate to Find the missing scientist untill Jupiter and Uranus Align...

Before he said Venus and Uranus that was going to happen on March 10 2083. If we have to wait until Jupiter and Uranus align then hes going to be Meditating for about 10+ years because the next time Jupiter and Uranus align after 2083 is in Dec of 2093.

Lets just hope this was a typo and hes still waiting for Venus and Uranus to align.

 		Confirmed typo for Jupiter
Garith has confirmed that he meant to say Venus and Uranus, and not Jupiter.

 		Just FYI, there's no need to put items like open blog entries, character responses, and the like in spoiler tags. Those are used mainly for puzzle solves or items that the general public wouldn't be able to see on first glimpse. Smile
