Been having a look at the word RECEDA.

1. No entry in the Oxford English Dictionary (that's the 20 volume one!).

2. It is a form of the verb *recedere*, which comes from Latin and is current in Italian. It is a legal term meaning withdraw. (to remove, to take back, to recall).

Since "Receda" isn't coming up as any kind of real word, is it possible that it's the name of the location where the Cube was found? I'm probably somewhat swayed here, though, as I thought about "location" as soon as read "Receda" and "LA Times" (there is a town near LA called ReSeda) Rolling Eyes

Also, interesting to know that the Cube is an "archaeological artifact" as opposed to something that that Zeller dude invented or discovered - I wonder if he died researching it or something else (the error log isn't very clear on that).

'receda' isn't Latin or Italian as far as I know, but it could be derived from 'recedo' which, in Latin is to either retreat, disappear (sort of) or depart

wow! I didn't think we'd learn what The XXXXX cube was till very late in the game. I thought fFor sure that would be one of those deep dark secret bits.

This game is gonna be huge, isn't it.

Is anyone getting a scan of the ad? We should always strive to maintain archiveable copies of these things.

(also, i-fForget-who is supposed to be getting a scan of the NY Sun; how's that going? (you said to not worry pestering you .. so here i am Smile
