So I'm running the .mp3 stream from the video through an MP3steno tool and I start getting .tmp outputs, which I open in wordpad. For each different passcode the characters are different, but the format is always the same.

The returned .tmp's mean the decoder is seeing something.

Maybe the audio codec isn't natively .mp3, and that's where my problem lies. I'm not nearly comfortable enough with this sort of things to truly find something, but it seems as though there may be something there.

The audio in the video isn't MP3 encoded, that's just what it was converted to when it was ripped. The audio in the actual video was compressed with a compressor called "QDesign Music 2".

More thoughts on music triggered by the newspaper ads. They say they're going to find the cube based on its "composition." Coincidence?

There's a composer named David Del Tredici who wrote a piece called Syzygy in 1968. Apparently it's based on two James Joyce poems, "Ecce Puer" and "Nightpiece."

I sure can't find anything in the poems that seems relevant, tho.

leave this earth - i have to agree with all before me, it's only gibberish. tho i also have to think there is some hidden message in it. mmmm, it might be really wild, but what about the scopes? analyzing it deeper might lead to something. right? say so! pleeeeeease!

Hiya all, don't know if you're still wanting the music from the vid transcribed, but it seems to be a repetition of one bar: F sharp, F, A flat, E flat. Don't know what this means though... Wink
