[SPEC] All things 'Kiteway' I figure a new thread regarding everything 'Kiteway' specific is in order. I get the feeling many people are going to go nuts over the name. So post anything that has anything to do with the Kiteway name, and let's see if we can figure something out! There has got to be something new here!
My spec on the whole thing pulls from a story located at http://www.sff.net/people/chris.amies/fiction/terminal.htm . This is the first of very few pages that google comes up with for 'kiteway'.
Quote:
On her way to the kiteway station, Myriam experimented. She jumped off the Richmond Road canal bridge down to the footpath, wondering if there was any way of stopping the inexorable downward motion. There didn't seem to be. Perhaps it was like Time, one way. But didn't Time really oscillate around the core, with a frequency that could be tapped into if necessary? She seemed to remember that from one of the classes she hadn't been able to skip. Maybe in all its complex of laws, gravity held a secret like that.
Either that, or else perplex city considers 'k' to be a vowel, and 'kiteway' is pig latin and is therefore translated into 'kite'. But that seems unlikely

Doesn't Kiteway sound a bit like "Gateway"?

In Go, the opposite of Sente is Gote, which is pronounced "Goatay." There's also a town in Zambia called "Kitwe" (Keetway), but that's probably coincidence.

Interestingly I have had the image of an African Sente from the start - to me it sounds like an African-type name. I think we might be onto something there.

Can one of the mods/Rei please remove that reference so that the unsuspecting don't go googling it.

sente marchant I'm not sure where I'm going with this but a anagram of sente marchant is manchester nat (soccer matches). In searching for skylines of manchester I found www.manchester2002-uk, the A-Z index list The Cube which is a gallery specializing in buildings of the city.
