My guess is that they had someone stand on the very edge of something (Warthog or Scorpion turret, perhaps?) and just had the cameraperson pan around the subject, careful not to get whatever they were standing on in the shot.

They prolly just ran around the subject with the camera and sped it up in editing

I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks. I am now back and would love to get involved.

Sorry guys. I need to do a bit more work on this project.

Explaination:
The raw footage While it looks ungodly good, seems to have overloaded the 1.2g in memory that my system runs off of. The processes rendering the video seize up and die about half way through. (this is the reason I wasn't really playing live last night, trying to fix it.)

It failed in the same spot twice.

So I am trying to find a way to reduce the data size while maintaining a reasonably high quality of video. I expect it to be up by 9:30 EST tonight, or I'll eat my shoe.

Information on the video that won't change:
Available in 5.1 surround
approx. 19 min long

and while it would take a lifetime, and be the single most pointless but masterfull achievment in Video game history... Simmons suggested we think about recreating the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Halo2.

Just wanted to throw that at you guys.

Seconded... Laughing

Also, don't feel left out if you weren't in the film, my only contribution was that I got to gauss everyone at the end of the video. As apposed to last video when I as the STAR! Oh, don't worry I didn't let it go to my head... really. Twisted Evil

*steps aside from his nice size 14 sketcher on a plater garnished with mustard and a side of garlic bread*

Last night, as some of you may have been informed I went to upload the most amazing looking film I've ever seen run on my machine. Resoulution wise. Now everything has a cost. It never struck me to check the file size until windows informed me it would take roughly 1 day and 14 hours to upload the file.

It ends up being and i kid you not:
3.81 Gigabytes
Think I'm exagerating?
SCREEN SHOT attatched to this post.

Knew there was a reason it siezed my 1.2gig memory/3.1gig athlon3200 several times and took 3 attempts to render.

So after much experimenting, I found a setting that is descently high quality, preserves the 5.1 sorround, and is under 1 gig.
Video quality is on par with biohazard instead of insanly over it, but hey, we can live with this as far as banfdwith goes right?

Final editor's Notes:
Yeah there are two spots in particular that may jump out as Sloppy edits. You'll know them when you see 'em. I appologize, but at no point was I able to have all five information lines syncronized or loaded enough to do a probper editing job. The data i was working with was so raw that It choked the system to perilous degrees. Sorta like editing blind, once I let it spend the 2 hours to fully load the vid, I made my deit, and then it would take just as long to see if it needed adjustment.
But yeah, Did my best, hope you all enjoy the show.

People rushing to this thread be warned, The estimated time to completion of the upload is 10:45am EST. It is a .wmv meaning it can be streamed so if you try it earlier than that you won't get the whole vid.

So without further adue, I present to you, the Beekeeper Production "COPS"

Ever thought of doing a divx version? The compression ratios are quite impressive.
