Sam says they are starting to drag the Lake of Tears...

Quote:
Steffeny,
Thanks for the update. Neither Wes or I have heard any thing from Dale and I have to admit that I am starting to really dread every phone call and knock on the door. I'm afraid it's going to be someone coming to tell me that they have found Dale's body. Wes is more optimistic and keeps insisting that he thinks Dale is OK but I'm getting more and more depressed every day.

Thanks also for the heads-up about Don Marzano. Strange coincidence, don't you think? Him being in town right when all these bodies are turning up?

It seems that everyone is finding out about Dale's meetings on Saturday. I am starting to think it was a mistake to allow so many people to access his account. Damn, I shouldn't blame it on anyone like that; with everything that's happened everything is bound to come out sooner or later anyway. Speaking of e-mail, I did check what I could of access to JD's e-mail account but couldn't find anything unusual. I've got no reason to believe they came from anyone but him.

There's still no official word on cause of death but there are rumors running rampant around here. With the news of Tracie Schmidt's disappearance, the whole town is spooked. And there's still more happening by the hour it seems.

I just got word that the police are out at the Lake of Tears, looking and
dragging the lake. A few people wrote to me to tell me about that psychic's dream or vision about two men throwing something into the lake and it looks like they told the police too. Or maybe Iris did herself, I don't know. Plus the Mayor has told me that he expects the Grand Jury to start issuing some news or findings soon, possibly as early as tomorrow. He's afraid that they might do something serious to Dale for not appearing as scheduled, so we have that hanging over us as well.

Wes has been out searching through the woods and the old hiking trails as much as he can but has yet to find anything helpful. He did find the cloth ribbon Dale used to mark the tail he wanted to go back to and followed the faint trail as far as he could. Although there wasn't anything concrete to be found, Wes did say that it looked to him like someone had been down that same path very recently.

Please, let me know if you hear anything at all.

Sam

> Sam,
> Tracie the reporter from Channel 8 and her photographer are also missing. She was to meet Dale at 11 AM Saturday, in fact I think she was his first meeting that morning. If you can find Tracie maybe she can tell you where Dale is....

> BTW, Don Marzano made an appearance at Phyllis's shoe, the Hollow Needle late Friday Afternoon, but left rapidly when Iris came out of the back.
