I can't play Halo with the s. I gotta have my Duke. Notice I said *MY* duke. When this one dies, I will slowly break in the second controller that came with the systm. I try to play other games with the s so I may adjust, but when it comes down to that "just feels right" feeling, nothing beats the Duke!

I need the big controller for halo. The button layout on the S just doesn't feel right for that game, and I always end up going for the wrong button. "Where the hell is Y?" that sort of thing. THe black and white buttons are easier for me to reach, as well.
That said, I can't use it for any other games on the Xbox-for everything from panzer dragoon to KOTOR, I use the S.

Same. old skool love and children that is, though I'm mostly using the Duke because I don't have an S myself, and I'm up to 2 children now + one on the way. You learn to live w/out sleep .... along with a few other things that happen a lot more often pre-children

I just use the S because that's what it came with my xbox. I don't think I would have problem to get used to the Duke, but I think I'd still prefer the S. I just think the black and white position is just awful on both, but still worse on the Duke.[/quote]

I always preffered the DUKE. I just liked the big controller, it seemed to fit me perfectly. (odd how i claim the controller fits)
But when I got my own XBox before moving off to college, I adapted seemlessly to the type S. Now I simply can't use the DUKE, it's just too big and the button layout is different than what I'm used to.
Plus it's easier to find a Type S than a Duke in stores around here.

That's because the Duke is discontinued.
That's why many Dukites have to take extra good care of their babies.

Logitech has an XBox controller that's pretty close.
Logitech Precision™ Controller for Xbox
I have one of these, though I still prefer the S controller.

Duke Overboard Well, although I've still got two Dukes, I added an "S" to my arsenal yesterday. It's going to take me quite a while to get used tot eh new button setup but I've already noticed my aim seems much better. Whether that's true or just a head trip remains to be seen.

My accuracy is consistantly off, as Stitch, Ranger_D and Ariock can attest, whenever I use the S.
If only my Xbox was not overheating from the power supply issue. It just started hitting my box about 2 months ago.

Duke. My hands are huge. This was the first controller I felt was made for me. I can't even fit all my fingers on the GC's controller.
I have an extra Duke that none of my friends will use because it's the "freak's controller" So between that and the two Apple Pro USB Rev A keyboards I have stashed away my preferred but discontinued input devices are taken care of.

Still missing the Duke? The Logitech version is on sale for $16 at Amazon.com .

Yes, you may have mentioned munchkins. They are awesome.
Hmm. I've got a guitarist's fingers, and I still feel the S controller to be ungainly at times. I'd much rather use one of those cheap Pelican controllers just due to the size issue.

Well, I've been playing with the S controller for over a week now, and my aim still sucks.
Only one possible conclusion here.
I need bionic fingers.
