UPDATE: Live Journal for July 22th

Quote:
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2003
5:58 pm I'm not convinced anyone has even read the last post.

I've been hanging around shelters chatting up homeless kids. I get a lot of evil looks from the volunteers, who likely assume I'm a pedophile or similar such nogoodnick, but the kids quickly warm to me, perhaps seeing some kindred spirit. I've been asking them to tell me stories -- paying them sometimes, even, in a way. I am a terribly good cheat at poker, and have been fleecing them and their older siblings in nightly games and then offering them back the money they lost a bit at a time in return for telling me stories. I don't specify a type or a theme or a subject unless asked, and so this game of mine has garnered quite a few variations in the homeless mythology vein.

In Gainesville, it seems, the Blue Lady is rumoured to have once spoken audibly to children, but lost the power of speech in a violent clash with Bloody Mary nearly nine years. One little girl told me that Bloody Mary had forced La Llorona to drink of her own waters, muting her powers, as it were. All of them told me of encountering ghosts in increasing number. I am enthralled.

And Rahne has found a club she digs...

...so we'll stick around for a few more days.

If someone already posted the 22nd, I have a big lake for my trout. If you mean I didn't post the 21st, well neither did you! We already knew he is headed for Miami and was trying to find one of us in the area to hang-out with, so it didn't seem to add much. So, "Pffffttt!" Razz

(Sorry, its been a tough week!) Wink

Methinks that there is a chronically impatient, attention-deprived PM out there somewhere for whom the occasional eyepoke is not sufficient.

Unfortunately for Ewan, Governor Jeb Bush recently passed an executive order outlawing all ARG participation in the state of Florida as being blatantly unpatriotic and a dangerous possible violation of the USA PATRIOT Act since it requires the exercise, by the participant, of his or her capacity for independent, creative thoughts. Add to that the well-known Average Retiree Central Floridian's distaste for all "nasty, dirty homeless people," because it disrupts their precious Disneyfied atmosphere, and, sad to say, it ain't too bloody likely that Ewan is gonna get any takers on his journey for as long as he's in THAT godforsaken state.

(/snark) Razz

Ewan, Evan, Effin', Evian, Ewok, whatever. For as much focus and attention as I've been able to give this game, he's just lucky I'm not calling him Eunuch.

(No slight on the hardworking PMs' effort intended. I like your game, really. I just got other stuff keeping me busy and distracted away from the ARG universe lately.)

Ah Oz...don't get upset, I was only teasing with you.

Does anyone actually live near there who is involved in this game?

Me? Upset???? Nah, I don't get upset. I am, however, in the market for a few new sacrificial offerings to Zuul. Twisted Evil

Hey cemmy....why are you running away???? Come back, it's only a butter knife, I promise.....

Sniff. No one ever wants to play.
