Going along with the inside job theory...maybe they dont mean her physical murder but more of a murder of her ethics or ther murder of the person that she was. Suddenly corrupted and the person she was is lost?

I imagine it is more likely we are just missing a post. We still don't really have anything that resembles a headline for this whle article yet, such as "Receda Cube Stolen! Security Guard found dead!"

This would obviously be the first part of the article, and therefore it is likely that we will possibly receive it last of all in the Guardian.

Wild speculation ahead.

I have been pondering the possibility of fFran Mendling not being human - perhaps an AI - And her murder is more of a deltion of her programming or something. which accounts fFor the security logs where she appears perfectly in tact, later: she was repaired or replaced or something akin.

It's not a well supported speculation, I'll say right now, due to it being a case of "Murder", not "Destruction of academy property", but there's a lot we don't know about the perplexians.

There is an omission that I think could be interesting. They say Fran come back after her shift and then they say murder. What they don't say is "the body of Fran Mendling was found" etc. It's to their advantage to explain in what manner the thieves left her in terms of public sympathy towards the academy and hatred of the thieves. I don't think they have the body and aren't sure where it is. Perhaps the cube was activated....
