the lavs in quiggins virtually ask you to write on them....they used to be covered with bands websites and "avril deepthroats" or at least the girls ones did

C|Net newsletter article for me.
I saw a picture of the postcard, and clicked through to an article on PPC. I had never even heard of ARGs before then! I love me my C|Net.

I heard about ILB on slashdot.org right toward the end of the game...just in time to answer a couple payphones. I wanted to get in on another game from the ground up, and picked this one after browsing around on here, since i hoped it would start soon after the new year...I probably could have played another game or two while waiting. Oh well, I think it will be worth the wait.

So...so far the best way to get people involved in an ARG is via another ARG. That's a revelation that's too profound for me!

kirstenhill, let me assure you (with no proof to back it) that Syzygy/PerplexCity is probably the most anticipated (and anticipated, and anticipated... ) game of the year... (and parts of last year). So, I think you will find you joined the genre at just the right time. It's definitely an exciting time for ARG-ing... Good to have you with us!

Am I the only person to have found this game accidentally? As far as I can remember, it was reading an article on ILB in january that reference the beast and others, and I found the site "immersivegaming.com", the book by dave. That led me to immersion unlimited, and to perplex... and then to unfiction!
At least, that's how I "remember" it. I was probably just brainwashed.

But I first saw it a few months ago on the syzygy when they were still looking for members
