is there a diner nearby?
if you asked someone "dinah?" they might point you to a coffeeshop.
It's unlikely, unless they're American. We don't tend to call them that over here.
Maybe if it was a 'Cathy' we were looking for (Cathy -> Café....geddit?!? aaah nevermind )

This is complete spec and probably wrong, but has anyone considered the possibility that Dinah doesn't want to be contacted, and that in fact she will be trying to avoid us? In that case, the last thing we want to do is draw attention to ourselves, or even stay together in a group.
Looking into my subconscious, there's always a chance i'm just saying this to avoid having to dress up like a complete tit

I just had a thought.
With such a large group of people appearing on Abbey Rd in regards to 'the cube'.. It is going to be much easier for Dinah to slip in and out unseen. Especially if the entire group of people are complete stranger's to the next person standing next to them.
I suggest everyone wearing something in common ( a pair of odd socks?? ) or the dreaded 'Hi, my name is..' name tag. That way you will be able to distinguish yourselves between each other.
Hence we're all meeting at St John's Wood tube station before hand, where its less crowded. We would get near Abbey Road and it will be packed due to the film festival.
Infact if you checked last Saturday's cam you would know its packed anway

Well A Hard Days Night is 87mins long, wouldnt the PMs said 12h-13:30h ?
Also why ask for Dinah, if it was a anagram they would say "go watch dinah" or something that would give us a clue

Yeah, maybe...
But, is the movie visible from the webcam?

From www.abbeyroad.com/film05/experience.php :
"Studio 1 will become a cinema for the duration of the Festival. It will have a 350 seat capacity. There will be 3 screenings on each of the 16 days of the festival. "
So I guess the movie won't be visible from the webcam, but still... coincidence or not?

im thinking more on the line, if someone wants to discuss something but they're being watched/followed....hows the best way to loose them... in a crowd.
Or maybe is on the idea a assasin wont work on anyone in a public place... too many witnesses.

hey fellow syzygysts,
i'm really sorry i can't drop over wth you, given the prices of a plane ticket, so i'll be watching you over the webcam. anyway.
imho the film festival is quite a good idea from the pm-s, given that they always liked videos and stuff... but the thing i don't get, is why did they give us that link with the camera?! i mean - does that only show us the location, or is the camera the important thing?

They're just being nice...those of us that can't afford the train fare can watch all the people with signs (salkunh with her suspicious parentage denial...particularly amusing) dashing around trying to catch Fi

Yes yes!
Look for the Chesire Cat in the branches of the tree holding the webcam. You'll have to take a ladder or help each other I bet. Stick your face right in the lens!!!
Ha!

Well, I've swapped numbers with Salkunh and I'll be on from about 11.45 to 13.15 (ish) so if the ground team need to contact us I'll keep you all up to date (I'll get mIRC or something downloaded later and head on over to #syzygy, plus I'll keep an eye on the cam and be on the board/AIM/email/PM etc.) or if we realise anything that we desperately need to tell them then I don't mind playing messenger-boy.

Dinah Odd socks and name badges
Interesting idea but Dinah could be reading this too and turn up with odd socks or a false name badge. We're just all going to have to be very astute on the day.
