But about the mic, I have no idea what the problem is. I think it may be the fact that I am using a crappy MadCatz one instead of these fancy-dancy Halo 2 ones that I have heard so much about. I just wish I would have known about the sound issues, I wouldve strayed away from the voice acting and/or actually yelled into the mic, which i felt I wes already doing. Maybe I am just a naturally quiet person?

So yeah, in the next movie if I don't fix the sound problem I will stick to backround scenes and other stuff. I'm no good at acting anyway. I feel I brought the movie down a peg because I cannot be heard and my lines sucked. We need more of a set course of dialogue, because my improv was no good at all.

And thats about the end of my rant.

Yeah, I've found that most third party mics don't pick up sound very well. The one that came with my Live subscription kit broke eventually, and I tried to replace it with a couple of different headsets. But with all of the headsets I've tried, people complained that I was speaking too quietly and they couldn't hear me. That's why I finally broke down and bought the Plantronics Halo 2 headset, and I love it. Best speaker and microphone that I've found, and it's very comfortable. I highly recommend it, if you've got the 50 bucks to drop.

an interesting post over at HBO http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=572637

Just a thought about the cops vid...maybe you could fix the low-audio in post production? Not sure how to do it with your current footage, but some of those scenes don't make a lot of sense because the dialogue is too faint.

Fancy dancy is the way to go, I <3 my plantronics head set, but it broke my wallet. Anyways, I finally got around to downloading it last night with NetLeech and it got to 73.12mb and stopped, oh the sweet irony. Is the link dead or something? I can't get it to start D/L'n again for my life. Anyways, with that much downloaded it let my watch about the first two minutes of it, and It was pretty funny what a saw, just dark and quiet, but definetly gotta give ya props for the editing from 3 gbs Laughing

I saw it for $40 yesterday at Circuit City.

My default Xbox Live headset, held together by duct tape, does the job just fine for me.

That's because Best Buy hates people.

Got mine from EB Games, but I don't think I've ever seen it for more or less than 50. The only headset I know of for 70 bucks is the bluetooth one.

About headsets, I use a jabra ear gel and it works well. I think it is actually a lot less intrusive than the boom arm mics.

The closest thing I could find on their web site was this.

not a traditional mic, no, Jabra's pick up the vibrations of your jawbone, and somehow accurately recreate your voice from that

Anyone know where to pick up a mic like that without an earbud? I once saw someone who has a headset with a speaker that fits behind the ear (I guess it transmits through the ear?) with a jaw mic, but I have no idea where to buy something like that.

Are we going to try for another movie? I think we should try for something a bit more planned out than the cops video. We had some great moments in that one (bus jump) if we could do more of that level of stuff it would be great.

We should start planning things out now and have it as work in progress here until such time as when Incit gets his net connection back.
