[unsolved] Distorted Ares Station logo

The distorted Ares Station logo was mentioned here.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Opening logo.gif in notepad, the string "sickness.html" appeared about halfway down the page.
This leads to
http://www.aresstation.com/sickness.html
which is not quite the same as the index page.
The letters a,e,D,t,E,p,h,s,h,l,e stand out.

Additionally, I think I can see the graffiti symbol in the background of the logo.

OK, I grouped the letters by the blogs they point to:
Quote:
node/19
E
s
I

node/25
a
D
t
h
e

node/35
e
p
h
l

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
25 gives "Death" and 35 gives "help", so I don't think the association is random. Not sure what "IEs" could be though.

good work!
looking to see what blogs they end up with could be important too:

node/19 sie = SimonMiller?

node/25 death = MaryHaynes

node/35 help = ChrisApplegate (talking about Beth?)

could the "sie" refer to SImon?...

this is pretty wild spec (i think) but could there be something in the black dots that are scattered through the image? I'm just putting the image back together myself, and they're certainly not 'artifacts' of the broken image, unlike some of the broken lines that there are.

(i'm thinking back to the picture of the carving on the wall)

i think you may be onto something there. those are unique dots. tried quickly to join the dots on the earlier badly re-spliced image, and got something that looks like a fish...or a constellation (Canis major)
