I found it! Perplex City is in...

Just kidding. I'm wondering if this hapless media group originally had the name and it was bought out from under them by the PMs (which I'm tempted to call "Cubists"). Funny that they haven't changed their logo or their contact email, "info@perplexcity.com" (not to mention their copyrights in the bottom frame).

One interesting thing though (?), they have a link from the main navigation that goes to the actual Perplex City site labeled "Filez" (perplexcity.com/files) that doesn't follow the conventions of their other navigation. Prolly nothing, but unusual anyway.

Sorry if this was found out pre-game, too much to slog through.

No need to slog through anything - a quick search on "huttofamily" in the Perplex City Forum brings up this post Mr. Green The locked thread in that post is this thread. As you suspected, the perplexcity.com website used to be owned by huttofamily, and is definitely out of game.

I tried clicking on the "Filez" link, but it took me to a "not found" page.

Has anyone tried emailing them, and politely asking about their involvement? It may at least allow us to rule them 100% OOG (rather than 99% Rolling Eyes )

it may be oog but all the photos on that page seem to have binary or morese code water marks

 		i called the number on the contact page. They hung up on me.

Transcript of conversation:
Me - "I am looking for the Receda Cube, do you have it?"
Them - "Is that like a G4 or Mac or something?"
Me - "Do you know Sente, Dinah or anyone from the Academy?"
Them - "I think you have the wrong number"
Me - "If you tell me where the cube is, or at least what the 24 digit number means, I will give you a cookie"
Them - "You have the wrong number, sorry"
Me - "What, you don't like cookies?"

 		Ok, here's what we know about this website. A year ago, there were a couple of Perplex City websites: perplexcity.net, and perplex-city.com. Perplexcity.com, however, was what you can now see as thehuttofamily. Later that year the perplexcity.com site became what it is now, and the old website that used to reside at that domain became thehuttofamily.

Since then, the huttofamily has been brought up twice - both of these times are even linked here! It was out of game then, and it's still out of game now Very Happy So, this is going to become yet another locked huttofamily thread, but if you find any proof that it's in-game, please don't hesitate to PM me so that I could eat my non-existent hat for wrongfully locking this thread.
