I've emailed the "news@perplexcitysentinel.com" address because it told me to if I found any errors. I reported the January 15th/16th issue.

And now the "reprints@perplexcitysentinel.com" address to inquire whether reprints went back to the finding of the cube.

Thank you for your interest in reprints from the Perplex City Sentinel!

Unfortunately, the Sentinel has a strict policy disallowing the purchase of
reprints from foreign entities. We apologize for any inconvenience this may
cause you.

Best wishes,

Still waiting on a reply back about the classified ad. I want to take out an ad asking to purchase a key and asked how much the ad would be Very Happy

EDIT: I already did a reverse lookup on the IP on the headers. Belongs to a Dallas, TX ISP by the name of theplanet.com. Apparently came through a server there

EDIT2: Reply back from Classifieds. Looks the same:

I sent this email to 'reprints':

Quote:
Dear Sirs,

As a resident of Earth, I have heard relatively little about the theft of the Cube. I was hoping that you would be able to provide, to both myself and others, reprints of any news articles pertaining to the theft that are unavailable on your website (http://www.perplexcitysentinel.com). I know that the Cube was stolen on January 15, 2004 and would appreciate any articles after that date. I am hoping for any conclusions drawn from the police investigation, any possible suspects, and any relevant data from the questioning of the Ball attendees.

Also, I would especially like to review any articles concerning previous theft attempts (such as that in late April of 235AC) if your records date back that far.

Any extra information concerning the original discovery of the Cube, personal background data on Sente Kiteway, Master of the Academy, and any way to get in contact with Eoin Morgan (the police chief quoted in your article "Cube Stolen in Deadly Raid") would be greatly appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Winstanley

Edit: Got the 'no sale to foreign entities' email back, so ignore this. (until such time as they do allow us to buy reprints)

For what it's worth, emails to various permutations of the staff members on the masthead still seem to bounce (as they did before).

Ie:

Ryan.KleinSPLATperplexcitysentinel.com, rkleinSPLATperplexcitysentinel.com, ryanSPLATperplexcitysentinel.com, kleinSPLATperplexcitysentinel.com

Sent a letter to the editor, with a little note for Sente on it.

We'll see if the Sentinel is getting their mail relayed by Syzygy.

Now, onto the next thing.

The date will change every day. It is no logner static, it is being called by Javascript.

The PMs are updating the site by uploading the entire directory, ie: Overwriting everything. So, if your looking for differences based on file dates... Everything is different, even if nothing was changed.

"For all other purposes, link to the Sentinel with your key and a customer support representative will help to direct your call."

gives a little bit more of a hint to what the key actually is?

for some reason they got rid of this code from the main page (maybe the coder accidentally deleted it and didn't notice), the effect of which is that the "Sentinel" logo no longer shows up.

Code:
<script src="/furniture/sitewide/scripts/adserver.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

the rest of the pages however, even though they have been 'updated' have this code present, apart from the authenticate page.

w00t....
the pxc version of the site is a bit different in that the errors i just mentioned aren't present, even though the two sites were updated at relatively the same time...

Actually its very common in the UK to use the word "call" to mean contact, so it not necessarliy means telephone.

I see that the email address for classifieds hasn't changed in HTML (email displayed is @perplexcity.com but links to @perplexcitysentinel.com). Anyone else getting a creepy feeling?

April Fool's is coming up...
